My pickups from last week - DKjr & Ghosts n' Goblins
So I picked up a couple games last week from a nice gentleman in Indiana.
Long story short - I lost the DKjr bezel on the way home, still miffed about that - Hopefully a fellow KLOVer in Brunswick is going to give me a good deal on one.
I already have the CP out of it and stripped.
The Jr. board it came with has some eprom issues I think, Thankfully my project DK came with a working DKjr boardset.
Very stoked about the Ghosts n' Goblins cab I picked up. Monitor was dead, but I replaced it with a WG that I had. It plays great, I'll have to cap the monitor though. It's pretty blue.
It's ridiculously heavy for it's size. The only negative is the cab is shot on the bottom, it had been sitting in water for a while.
I have absolutely no intention of rebuilding the bottom and sides of this cab, so it might be going up for free if somebody has the balls to mess with the particleboard cab. I'll probably strip it and try to build a replacement out 5/8" plywood. It should lighten it a tiny bit, and it will be stronger. I've already drawn up plans for it. It won't be an exact match to the original as I want to lift the sides off the ground, it will have a base on it like a Nintendo cabinet. It will save the edges from getting gnarled. I should see if I can work with DPtwiz on getting this accomplished. Even if he could just cut the sides for me, it would make life easier.
We'll see what happens on these, I'm pretty stoked about them.
