Ok, I've dug out my System 1 cab (Peter Pack Rat) as I've not got most of what I need to start the FULL restore.

The cabinet is made of 5-ply but some of the back of it is chipboard and I am going to replace that.

The artwork is the ones that I've created to match the original :D Printed on 3mm Lexan

Here are the first lot of pictures:
Sorry for the quality, they are from my iPhone (3GS)

Here are a few more images.

I also found what seems to be a pristine System 1 mainboard :D

Some of the artwork prints, are printed on Lexan but no 'white back' as you can see they are see through :)

More to come on the weekend

Thanks for sharing, that will be interesting.

For the panels you'll be replacing - I have had a good experience using 3/4" sanded ply, then applying black adhesive vinyl from ThisOldGame. Just an option.

Looks like you have al you need! I like the art printed on the Lexan, that's cool. I'd take that for art on the wall :)

Good luck with the restoration! I have a Peter Packrat and play it all the time. I think it's a great game.

Yeah I am going to get stuck into it on the weekend and see what I can do.

Just waiting on a repro panel so I can install the joystick/buttons/CPO and my marquee is en-route too

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just checking some of my gameboards, I've found more System 1 mainboards and also 2 more Peter Pack Rats and 2x Marble Mandess and 1x Road Runner and Temple of Doom (also 720 and Paperboy, dunno about the System 2 mainboards) I don't remember ever buying these items, but WooHoo!!!

I'm now going to clean out my storage shed over the next week and see what else I have in there.

If you find a roadrunner control panel, I'll be your best friend :)

And also if you want to unload a Marble Madness daughter board, don't forget me :D

That's a great find!

Chris

No chance on the MM sorry (always need a spare lol)

But the Road Runnel panel I know I have with a 'repro' CPO in PERFECT condition.

I can post pick when I find it.

Nice! I'm working on two System 1 cabs right now myself!

Just got new Vinyl in and I'm cleaning and patching cabs. One will be Peter Pack Rat, and the other will swap between RB, Indy and RR.

Okay, I started to clean up the inside of the cab. I had some sound issues (not jump noise or shooting and so on) I cleaned both boards and re-seated the sound chips and it's now working fine.

I think I am going to replace the monitor, need a new monitor plexi (will use glass) Clean the shaft of the joystick and replace some wood on the back of the cab.
