Titled Grails. The Cool, the Rare and the Obscure of Arcade Games

So, nearly 4 months overdue, and over a year since my first book, the newest coffee-table book for your reading pleasure is available. It's the direct sequel to the first coffee-table book I created titled Bits, Sticks, and Buttons. While the first book covered in light-hearted detail the unofficial list of the 50 greatest arcade games of all time, this book now takes a turn in the opposite direction- detailing the 50 most lusted-after gems from the arcades. These games may not necessarily have sold thousands of units, or become household names in the general public, but they are all the games we, as gamers, have come to pray to. These are our false idols, our golden cows, our sacred deities. We love 'em and cant get enough of them....if we could ever just FIND them!.

The promo video should sum it all up:

Also, here is the direct link to Blurb.com for ordering:

The 80 page, full-color portrait sized book is going to run you $40 these days. Hey, don't blame me...that's the price we all gotta pay for print-on-demand publishing. If you already have the first book, this is the perfect compendium of arcade goodness to keep it company. It works out perfectly. Imagine, now as you sit on the shitter, ready to drop a deuce, you will have the choice of either browsing thru the 50 games that we all should know about and should own, or reading thru the 50 hardest-to-find, and most sought-after icons from yesteryear.

Questions? Ask me here. Comments? Post 'em. Bash me for not including your favorite game? Go ahead, I can take it.

Thanks for all your help across the community for helping to get this book completed. A lot of you guys (and girls) went above and beyond to really create a great source of (what is considered by many) to be the end-all list of GRAIL arcade games!!!

Just ordered a hardcopy. Can't wait to get it! I can imagine how much work you put into this Sean. *respect inserted here*

Great job on the trailer; epic!! Loved the Indiana Jones dialogue....

I'm also waiting to see if anyone can name what the "one grail" was in the promo video. :D

Did I make the cut? Love the video, book on order! Cool...

I made it into the book and the promo! Getting ready to order a hardcover. Congrats on making another awesome book Sean. I'm honored to be a part of it!

OMG! That video is over the top and fricking HILARIOUS! The warehouse scene with the music and the sounds from the grail on the cart.....just perfection. Your MOTHER! LOL!!! It showcases the amount of time and energy that went into it just for the benefit of the arcade community - AWESOME JOB!

I just wanted to let you know a while back I said "Sean For President!"....so I'm glad to see things have worked out for you and my vote was not wasted.

By the way.....when will your book be ready?

<ordered!>

Getting ready to order... What's up with the Hardcover, ImageWrap??? Was just going to order a hard cover but curious about this.

I think the imagewrap has all the photos directly embedded into the cover. Looks real swank. The dustcover style has the jacket,( with no images on cover I believe), but contains the about author stuff.

I'll have to verify this, as I have yet to order a hardcover....i'm a softcover kinda guy. :D

Glad you dig the video Alan! Took my savvy media buddy and I about 8 hours totsl to do the 4:20 (tee hee) video. Couldnt do the book release without the promo video- and I figured... Lets go big or go home. Lol

I appreciate your kind words, my man!

You guys are awesome. I appreciate the support.

Steverd, I dig the softcovers because they sit better on my bookshelf with the Nintendo Power collection and my twisted toyfare magazines. But if you're looking to impress and display it publicly, the hardcover is the shiznit.

Bonus points to whoever can name all 87 cabinets seen in the warehouse scene. lol
