My ongoing DK restoration project - Thanks gutsman004
Well, thanks to gutsman004 (Greg), I now have my first arcade project. It is a Donkey Kong. It will be a good bit of work but I'm looking forward to it and I will post updates in this thread.
A little about me. I am 41yrs old and I've been married for 19 yrs and have two boys age 16 & 11. I am a network admin/IT for a company of about 60+ employees. I also used to be into hot rodding so I have some bondo experience haha! I also have painted a couple of cars so I can paint too. I started in electronics school, but did not finish due to having to move for a job. But that and my desire for nice auto stereo systems have given me soldering & wiring experience.
Now I might sound like Spiccoli on Fast Times at Ridgemont High...but I have some tools.
What I don't have is any knowledge. But I know between gutsman004 and you guys, help is around the corner
When I get home today I'm going snap some pictures and post here. Hopefully you guys will get to ride along a successful restoration. There may be curse words along the way, but it can't be nearly as bad as getting that rear header bolt started on a small block chevy!
Thanks for tuning in and again a huge thanks to gutsman004 for planting a seed for another addict!
