Ok i have a few more things left on the centipede restoration. My biggest hurdle was deciding on replacing sideart and getting rid of cat piss out of bottom of machine. I wont be replacing sideart as the current is in decent shape and I "KILLS" the smell to lock in the freshness! :D

That being said, the rest of the restoration is just putting it back together as it's now in the house!

Next week i will be looking at restoring another of my 4 cabinets i have left. I would like to involve the KLOV community to see which one i should do!

Mario Bros. Widebody - Out of my restorations i have left, this one may need the most body work! Was a KI2 about 3 years ago until i stripped it down and found it what a Widebody owner was really about. I have everything to complete the project except side art however my marquee and bezel are old and a little worn. My opinion since these machines are bad ass is to replace all with new/repros. What do you think?

Ghosts & Goblins - Very nice condition, Body work and cleaning in a day. I will need a bezel for this as well as new sideart but i could probably turn this one out in 3-4 days and wait on those items.

Track & Field - I started this restoration 2 years ago but put it on back burner as i continued to buy games and point my concentration elsewhere. I probably wont buy the sideart right now as i may need to concentrate funds on the above cabinets. Plan is to throw a MAME setup in it to play the olympic games. ;) Sorry guys im not going to be pure on this one but hey ill make it so i can restore game back to a dedicated if i ever get rid of it.

New Astro City cab - This is going to be my mame machine. Came from the Kingsley group buy fiasco and will need complete desanitized from the chinese dirt that's inside it. Also will need repainted and some dents popped out as well as a new CP w/ CP overlay and rewiring. I probably wont do the traditional wiring as i will just put a US jamma harness in along with a switcher. The wiring in there is very trashed.

Can't believe im really down to 4 outstanding projects. I was all projects a year ago with maybe 1 working cab that was a POS ms pac in a pac cab. Im the type that if going to restore, restore FULLY (centipede was an exception)

What project would you dip your hand in next? :D

My vote would be the Astro City because I am in the same boat. Mine is filthy and in unknown operational condition and I intend for it to be a Multi of some sort... most likely a 48-1 but I haven't ruled out MAME. Anyway... being plastic and metal I would like to learn techniques for restoring the cabinet, etc.

Yea im excited about it. Once you take monitor out and look it over it's not that intimidating. Hell the cab may weight 50 lbs total at most.

I have a 48 in 1 in mine right now until it's time for cleaning and restoration. Youtube video was taken last week.

Wait your going to kill the T & F, pick something else.

The T&F was a shell when i bought it. I wont be killing it. It's alot cheaper to go my route then to fully restore the mechanicals/board.

I love the game but i also like the other button mashers as well. :)

Personally I'd go with the G&G, it's got a much higher resale value and as a game probably has more replayability (that a word?). Track & Field would have been better, but since you're going to MUTILATE IT :p I'll have to suggest the other, Mario Bros. IMHO gets boring real fast unless you're always playing against someone.

Who are you and what have you done with my buddy Steve who procrastinates?

Id restore the Ghost & Goblins first. the Mario Bros second. ive played Track & Field and really dont care for the game and dont see where all the hype for it comes from.

Mario Bros. WB. Great 2-player action and it's just plain awesome. :)

Though, I'd be excited about any of the other projects as well. All great games.

I would do the G&G first because it will be fast and easy then the Track and field since it has some work put into it already. I would leave the Mario For the next game or last. I say this because you want to start saving some cash a new CPO costs $60 then the Side art is $90 (Prices without shipping). If you don't have A Sanyo monitor there's another $100 to $150 might need a new flyback that's another $50 and a cap kit like $20. Lets not forget a working PCB will run $80 to $120 unless you make a lucky eBay grab. Then theres the cabinet work since you said it was in bad shape there paint wood filler ECT all with amount to more time in the restore. Go with the other games first and you will have a few more to play and get the Mario parts you need while working on the other games. So your looking at like $400 to $500 to restore the Mario maybe like $150 to restore the G&G prob around $300 for the track and field.

Awesome. DK on that big monitor looks amazing. Your son's face at the very end is priceless! Thanks for sharing that.

Sounds like the G&G is the easiest fix and the majority of the work can be done in just a few days so why not start with that project first and then tackle one of the tougher ones?

As much a I hate to say it... I have to agree with the majority... don't MAME that T&F. Want to play HyperSports as well? Get a 2nd PCB... I do believe they are interchangeable (you might want to check on that).
