Ran across an idea today...trolling the web I came across the Arcade Legends 3.
Never would buy it...Got me thinking.

I have a Golden Tee Fore which I convert to a 26" Arcade LCD. Recently I picked up a GT Live 2009 dual monitor cab which gets all my attention.

My GT Fore is just not being used and knowing the value of the game even in the great condition my cab is in .... I don't see how to regain the time and effort plus cost if the LCD at $500.

Then it hit me when I saw the control panel for the legends 3. Asked myself why not put the ArcadeSD in the cab?? So that's the plan. Fill the existing holes and red roll new ones and see if I can sweet talk Chicago Gaming into selling me the overlay lol.

Alternate suggestions for the purchasing of the overlay welcome!

Now to poll the group...if if go with the overlay from legends three I need to use 6 buttons custom I believe three for each stick is all the would be needed.

Going this route also means my GT Fore board is for sale :)

First image - Current look
Second image - existing CPO
Third - new layout for CPO -ArcadeSD ** Anyone know someone who could replicate this?

2004 GT Fore 5 course...Red board

Could offer it for 165 shipped

Chicago Gaming's overlay is a custom designed control panel overlay that will not fit standard cab sizes. It will not fit a GT Fore or GT Live because its two narrow. They custom sized it to fit their small non-coin-op home cabinet, so it's a lot smaller than regular cabs.

I called and spoke with them yesterday about this. Also looking for a GtF cpo

Now that I think about it Adam, when I called, they told me you had just called. Looks like we're both on similar missions here.

I can replicate this. Working on a cpo design in photoshop now but need help from the forum. I need a high res scan of the overlay text/logos/buttons.

If you had that artwork or could scan it in, I can work with that and the Arcade SD overlay and design us something that EMdKay could print and mount for us.

Nice little thought of a project. Thou does ArcadeSD even support six button games?

Wouldn't you be better off running Mame, since you already have the LCD monitor it shouldn't be that hard to run a pc to it I wouldn't think?

That layout isn't bad, I wouldn't mind having something similar for one of my setups.

Arcade SD uses three buttons but you never know what will happen ...

Mame...absolutely not my thing nor allowed in my game room :)

I'm not sure where it how I could scan the artwork.

Project is at a stand still till I figure out why my trackball is not recognized

I know for different boards there are different pinouts for trackballs. So that may be an issue your running into.

ArcadeSD is a form of Mame. Just simplified for easy use. I see they try to update it often so who knows those six buttons may come in handy in the future.
