Hey, here are a couple pics of my newest pickup, Taito Polaris upright. Complete except for the 2 missing coin doors. This game will join my Taito Lunar Rescue and Stratovox uprights. I just love these 1st generation Taito Cabinets. I would love to find a Colony 7 for my next Taito Game. Does anybody have an original Taito Polaris marque for sale in decent shape? This one looks like maybe an aftermarket marque. I would also like to find a better control panel as this one is pretty worn. Anybody have either of these parts available for purchase?

Nice pickup! I was eyeballing that one too.:D Next to the bottom coin door, the panel would be the next hardest thing to find. FYI: I have seen Polaris marquees pop op on Ebay from time to time.

Surprised you don't the best game for this style of cabs - Crazy Climber? And I agree, Colony 7 is a GREAT game! Missed out on one here that got parted out.

Ahh...sub games. Like comfort food.

Missed out on a beautiful Taito cocktail version of this with full artwork cards in the Denver area. Too bad the price was high.

Congrats on the great choice! Now the big question...Does it work?

Here are a couple more pics of my new Polaris upright. I have not picked up the game yet, although it will be soon. The seller just said it won't power up. Looks like its complete inside. Just missing the 2 coin doors. Maybe just a dead taito power supply hopefully. Probably just put in a switcher. I remember playing this game along with Lunar Rescue and Stratovox in the fall of 1980 all in the same bowling alley arcade. Great memories!

Just saw a nice Taito Space Chaser upright on the Chicago area craigs list for $300.00 OBO. This one came out in 1979. Pretty boring game play but a cool Taito cabinet with dedicated cabinet art. Listed as old arcade game in Bensonville Ill. Jan 29.

It's a cool game and I have one myself tucked away in the garage but I swear the angle of the cp on these cabs makes me feel like I have carpal tunnel.

A friend of mine used to have one.
The CP art is the same as Stratovox, but Stratovox uses a 2-way joystick as opposed to the 4-way in Polaris.

The older stuff is cool, but gets a lukewarm reception.
Nicer if you only play it now and then.
