Yesterday I parted out my Crystal Castles cocktail that had a bust top but othjer wise working. Today I started transplanting it into a moppet cabinet. I chose my worst looking one of the 2 that are empty.
The part that is usually the hardest part getting a monitor in that didn't come with it installed without problems. I had to turn around the part that had it resting on the wood in the cocktail. It slid right in. Need to put some bolts in the side to hold it in.
The first question. One side of the side art is badlt torn. I was thinking of removing the side art and applying the conversion CC side art I have which would mean cutting it to fit and then trying to make every square inch of wood covered with side art. Should I remove the Moppet Side art? If so what's the best way to keeo it in one piece so I can try and piece a set together to have repoed one day. Use the CC conversion art or paint the cabinet?
Second part. What tool do I need to cut a hole through metal and wood for my trac ball on the CP? Should I use the orginal atari cone buttons or go with standard buttons. It alread has buttons/holes on the Moppet CP. SO fitting the Atari cone ones which are smaller might be tough.
I also need to remove the coin door parts and transplant them to my other coin door. But most of the coin door parts are missing on the Moppet Otherwise it would be as simple as removing wires and transplanting.
Best tool for cutting Plexi? I will probably use my CC Marquee on the Mini as it has already been cut instead of messing up a good one I got from dirt.
I'd like to look pretty decent. I am probably going to use a Orginal moppet Bezel.
All opinons wanted good or bad.
THanks Steven
