Yesterday I parted out my Crystal Castles cocktail that had a bust top but othjer wise working. Today I started transplanting it into a moppet cabinet. I chose my worst looking one of the 2 that are empty.

The part that is usually the hardest part getting a monitor in that didn't come with it installed without problems. I had to turn around the part that had it resting on the wood in the cocktail. It slid right in. Need to put some bolts in the side to hold it in.

The first question. One side of the side art is badlt torn. I was thinking of removing the side art and applying the conversion CC side art I have which would mean cutting it to fit and then trying to make every square inch of wood covered with side art. Should I remove the Moppet Side art? If so what's the best way to keeo it in one piece so I can try and piece a set together to have repoed one day. Use the CC conversion art or paint the cabinet?

Second part. What tool do I need to cut a hole through metal and wood for my trac ball on the CP? Should I use the orginal atari cone buttons or go with standard buttons. It alread has buttons/holes on the Moppet CP. SO fitting the Atari cone ones which are smaller might be tough.

I also need to remove the coin door parts and transplant them to my other coin door. But most of the coin door parts are missing on the Moppet Otherwise it would be as simple as removing wires and transplanting.

Best tool for cutting Plexi? I will probably use my CC Marquee on the Mini as it has already been cut instead of messing up a good one I got from dirt.

I'd like to look pretty decent. I am probably going to use a Orginal moppet Bezel.

All opinons wanted good or bad.

THanks Steven

Noice, I don't want to discourage you from doing this project but the amount of questions you have seems like this is way above your skill level. Give it some serious thought on exactly what you need prior to actually diving into this project.

I figured out how to remove the side art in one piece using a heat gun which I will have to purchase. Hopefully Radio Shack will have one.

I looked at my CC side art and it is huge. It has lots of white which I will be using some of that but not all of it. Will tape it where I want it and then start cutting. That is if I decide to use the side art. I though I would have extra for the front but it doesn't look like I will have extra.

Home Depot or Lowes would be a MUCH better source than radio shack.

Thanks we have a Lowe's in Pine Bluff :) If it comes off with easy I may do one one my cabinets with good side art and see about doing some repro side art.

Burn it to sacrifice for the Moppet gods!

LOL... good luck on your resto Steven, you sure love these things! How many do you have?

10 was suppose to be 11 but had one stolen by a shipping company. IProbably still in NC some where. Have had chance to get others but the price was more than I wanted to pay esp. since they had been converted.

Still need to put a little more side art on. I am horrible at putting on side art so it has some bubbles and rifts. One side the art keeps wanting to peel off.

OMG!!! Isn't that the sideart you paid ~$250 for!?!

And I've always thought applying side art on smaller cabs was easy compared to big cabs.....

In case you didn't know, it's easier if you lay the game on its side and apply.... with help.

I did like the comment "some air bubbles" though...

Yes that was the high dollar Side Art. I offered it here for 200 no takers. Everyone to cheap. So I figured might as well ewnjoy life. Didn't turn out as nice as I hoped but I am still happy with it. One side I had to use some super glue as the art wanted to peel a little and in the front wanted to peel a lot so I had to use glue there as well. The bezel I may use orginal moppet one or just tented one light the orginal CC had

Jesus H. Christ Mother Mary Of God! I thought you had draped some cool Crystal Castle sheet over the top or something. PLEASE tell me those aren't shots of the FINAL product? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Those photos ALMOST reach the "Asteroids" cabinet recycling video level of horror...ALMOST.

Everyone too cheap. So I figured might as well enjoy life.
How can you enjoy life if you have to wake up to that thing anywhere in your line of sight?!
