My new toy

The cabinet is really interesting. Its just an old tv in there, case and all. The cabinet is really lite and easy to move as its fiberglass. Not much in there theres lots of room. Ill post some pics tonight

The TVs in those use Vacuum Tubes. The boardset is three pieces, none of which have a CPU. Its just a bunch of logic gates strung together. Yes, the cabinet is really really light, IIRC, around 75lbs. A guy I used to work for had the yellow cabinet. Its quite a sight to see.

Looks pretty sweet.

For the lazy...

I am also envious. I have shown pictures of those to my wife and any females I know with the instructions to grab it immediately since they all like to shop the "junk" stores. Very nice score.

Wow, nice score! I guess they're still out there...somewhere.

I almost didn't look at your post with that vague title. You've got an early cab version there.

Not really a good story -- didnt find them in a barn !!

Tom how do you know its an early example ??

Ill take some good internal pics today as I find it interesting and Im sure someone else will to.

Great piece of history and a really sweet looking cab. Unfortunately the game isn't to hot :-/

Funspot has theirs up and going which is awesome!

The early Computer Spaces were in yellow cabinets, and the earliest among those had a keyed lock below the control panel.

Another detail on very early games is the back door which was cut somewhat free-hand. Later doors are more uniform.

I always thought it was funny comparing the flyer to an actual cabinet, that model they hired must have been all of 4 feet tall.

I want one of these, but only if I could find one dirt cheap. (Yeah, right)

I was zoning in on the lack of a lock below the control panel - but Mike is right. I got it reversed - the earlies had the lock, the later ones didn't. I won't say anything about the yellow CS's...

A very cool find. Wish I could find one again.
