I just got another Skeeball yesterday. I already had a 10' Skeeball Extreme, this new one is a 13' model H (I think). It's pretty rough, very dirty, and it's missing lots of screws and bolts. I really don't like the brown and green scheme, and I would prefer it have 100's. The green cork/carpet thats on it is very dried out and dirty. I want to switch it to the red carpet and paint the sides red, make it look like the ones I see most often. The netting on 1 side is loose and all the white netting is pretty dirty. Sure looks ugly right now. Anybody know a source other than Skeeball for the netting or anyone seen a different solution than netting, like plexi or metal cage. Is Skeeball direct the only place to get the carpet/cork?

Oh, yes, I'm excited to have it, just surprised how beat to hell it is, bought it sight-unseen. Should be a great looking machine when I'm done but I'm a little worried about the cost of restoring it.

Having a kids birthday party here this weekend so I did some quick get-it-playable tasks. I took all the rusty parts out and sprayed them, painted the brown parts black, replaced light bulbs, stretched the one loose net and attached with zip ties, then reassembled it and slid it next to my 10' Xtreme model. Need to clean the channel covers and the stainless parts, and install a free-play button before the party.

Still want to switch to red paint with red carpet scheme someday and get new netting. I'm thinking about trying to dye the existing netting and paint the existing cork before spending money though. Any thoughts on that?

I like it the way it is, but that's because that is what I remember playing. The thing looks damn good though for "quick touch ups". The kids will be stoked.

I like it how it was. Looks original, like it just stepped out of the 80's. Exactly what I remember playing.

Here's the big question: is the start-up music...

Dun dun dun dun dun, Dun dun dun dun dun, Dun dun dun dun dun, dun da-dun!

or

Doo doo dee DOO dee DOO

?

:D

Very cool. Very clean. Looks like a million bucks. I used to play the hell outta that Skeeball at my local arcade when I was a kid. great job.

I mean, I never thought of owning Skeeball. Fuckin' a that's awesome. I'd love to have that kind of space.

I'd also really like a bar-style shuffleboard table. Love drinking beers and playing that.

Awesome. I bet bringing a Skeeball home makes the kids heads spin.

Thanks guys. It looks "good from far, but far from good."

The worst area is the cork in the scoring area, very-very dirty and not coming clean. And the cork in the bend in the ramp is starting to crack. But it's definitely playable.

As for sound, it was so loud that I couldn't stand it, I looked for volume control but when not found I disconnected the speaker and haven't hooked it back up yet. I'll have to check it out later.

My 5 year old daughter and I were dueling on both machines today. In one of the matches I finished with 270 pts on the 13' model, she was at 180 pts with 1 ball to go on the 10' model. I told her she would win if she got a 100... she threw it as hard as she could and it went right in for 100 pts and the victory! Great fun.
