Picked this up tonight, I am a big Scramble fan and I know that original Scramble cocktails are very hard to come by, especially intact and complete as this one is. Sure, it's a little rough, but hey, it's an original scramble with the screen printed glass and while it's rough, it's all original :)

The screen comes on but there doesn't appear to be any power going to the board, so this will need some troubleshooting.

I've been trying to find the serial # but can't find that anywhere either. The board is the original scramble board from the looks of it, and all the factory hand tags are there with scramble written on them.

It appears that this thing has been sitting for at least 15 years, so this may be a challenge.. I really don't have anything into it, so if it's a bust I'll just part it out.. But I'm really hoping to get this one running and add it to my personal collection. Scramble was the first arcade game that hooked me, so this one means something to me.

Here's some pics:

I've never owned a Stern, but Centuri games that use the Konami classic pinout have regular switching power supplies. Could be an easy fix if Stern used the same.

Stern PS are horrable!!! I would first check the fuses and then the PS.

If you get Junk on the monitor from the game board ? Then your board is bad.

I have a Scramble cocktail too! Nice find. Mine has a switcher in it and it works fine with lots of different Konami/Stern pinout games... including Scramble.

Sadly, I don't have Scramble Cocktail overlays on mine. I acquired it when it was midway through being hacked into a Ms Pac.

I love it. Nice big 19" monitor too.

Very cool find! I know nothing of the game and never played it, but it looks neat.

Keep it, don't sell.

And hey!

That's a C6 Z06 Corvette in the background right?

NICE SCORE! Me and my Brother play Scramble all the time, great game. Good luck fixing it up, sounds like it shouldn't be too hard.

Ok, I'm not getting power to the board. Can someone reccomend the best switchable power supply that I can use with this, I know I need 12V but what else? thanks

Ok, had some time to clean it up, here's some pics, if anyone notices anything I should know (I am very new to restorations and reparing these, but trying to learn!) please let me know.

I must say as dirty as this thing was, I am enjoying cleaning this up and bringing it back to it's glory. I just may dig in and clean even deeper later on in the week (unbolting stuff, etc), but I would like to make sure I can get it running before I spend all the time on cleaning. 30 years of thick dust on wood is certainly a challenge!

Here's some pics, thanks for looking:

Looks like a nice G07 in that puppy. What kind of GM car is in the first pic? OBTW, nice grab, never seen a CT version of that game! :)
