I found tank on CL and it was listed at 400 then today I look and it is 150 and works perfectly (This is a cocktail by the way) So I call the guy and I pick it up but I found out that this guy makes 60 in 1 cabs and he knows the guy I got my pacman from! In fact there where 3 games out today that the person who I got my pacman from was going to take from the guy I got the tank from!

pics VVVVV

I have questions...

1)The monitor is a little burnt how do I get rid of it and how much will it cost?
2)WHERE IS THE VOLUME!! It is so loud and the volume on the monitor dose not work
3) 1 button is sticky-just a spring?

just give me info

$150 on the tank? Guess I missed the price drop... I seen the modified ms pac conversion cabs thou.

1) It's my understanding once a screen has burn, it's there for good.. a tube swap would be in order if your wanting something without burn.

2) I don't own a tank, so volume is beyond me.

3) If the button is sticky I don't think it's a spring issue, you may need to take the button apart and fully clean it.

Thanks for that!!!

I looked at the manuel and found the volume but cant find it on the pcb!!

Also when no one is playing the game makes random noises should I make a video?

Good job waiting on the price drop. I've dealt with that dude before, sometimes he has some junk, sometimes he has some treasure though.

Glad to see your got another game. You got it for a great price too. The only problem you are going to have is trying to fix it. This game is "well-known" from what I see. Good luck on fixing any problems. Trying to remove screen burn is like trying to repair a monitor tube that broke. Not possible. Install a pot on your speaker wires, that should work. You said you can't find the volume pot on the pcb, it could have been removed. As for the button, just take it apart and clean it or order a new one. Buttons are the easiest thing to fix / clean on a machine.

There are separate volumes for each tank and also different pots for explosion and motor sounds. They are on the top board here's a pic.

THANKS!! that helped but the explosion sounds are glued to the position that they are in!! EDIT: I took the glue off and the sound was adjustable!! Thanks so much.

I will fix that and it should work!

I'm no monitor guru by any means but I'm pretty sure that a B&W tube is a B&W tube. If you can find an old B&W tv with the same sized tube in it (at Goodwill, down by the bus station, wherever) then you should be able to swap it out with minor difficulty.

I've got a soft spot for that old game. I think $150 is a great score. I'd be placing that one at the front of my to-be-restored line if it was mine.
