The plug for it on the chassis should be directly below the neck, in the center, towards the front of the tube. Discharging it would be safer, for sure.

Can I buy a bigger coil? I really don't want to have to discharge this monitor unless I can find someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Maybe I'm over-exaggerating. I guess it's not that bad.

If you have an electric drill you can run it in a circular motion in front of the monitor and that will clear it up for you some. It works pretty good until you can get a degaussing coil.

Yeah, I just tried that, how are you supposed to do it?

Also, I asked on a Youtube video of a guy using that pink degaussing coil, and he said he used it on 25 inch monitors just fine.
