My new game room?

Yeah, I measured it. Pretty sure I could even do a 9' table but I could always drop down to 8' if necessary.

No, I haven't decided how exactly I want to decorate/color, but believe me, I want it to have an arcade look and feel, not a shop look and feel. I'll probably start a thread eventually asking for ideas and input. Blacklights and blacklight carpet are highly desired though! :D

All things being equal I think I'd rather have a basement arcade, but this house is just perfect for us in so many ways that nothing we've seen so far comes close to comparing. I think there are pluses and minuses to each kind of game room. Probably the biggest minus to this one is going out to play a few games when it's cold, windy, and rainy (obviously common here) but I think I'll survive. :)

Meh, while I have a drink occasionally I've never even been drunk, so don't expect to ever see pics of a full on wet bar. :p

better to have it and not need than to not have it and be a lush. Plus, keep it stocked with sodas, juice, lunch meats, and oh yeah.......ROCKSTARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That has a shitload of potential, nice setup in there! I know that you're chomping at the bit to expand your collection!

Uh-oh! Karl has just found the layout for his new house. Just have to make sure that the bathroom is big enough to slap a shower stall into. Fridge is just big enough for his food, just enough storage space for Sarge's food. I can see it now...couch with a fold out queen bed just in case his flavor of the week wants to stay the night. Look at all of that closet space right there in the lower section. Covered stall for Karl's game hauler. Easy access for all of those heavy driving games and Pigout.

Watch out Jeff, Karl may be placing a bid on your out building...as his new house.:D

Ha ha. The bathroom does have a spot for future addition of a shower (drain is already there).

I would throw a urnil (how do you spell urnil) in the bathroom for the guys and replace the big garage door with a nice set of french doors and then put a big neon arcade sighn outside over the entrance :)

Karl hasn't chimed back in because he is driving southbound to make his offer on your out building in person.:D

Who Loves ya Karl?;)

So this falls under the category of "don't mention a deal on klov until after you take possession"?

That's the perfect home space. A few hundred more square feet on the bottom floor would be awesome - but it still kicks major ass. The fact that it's detached is even better.

Well like I said, the carport could always be claimed for arcade game space instead of car/motorcycle/shop. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I don't know how far my addiction will take me. I might not want more games by the time I fill the current shop space.

That looks great man, best of luck on the sale. Which ever way you decide to go with the games, it will take a while to fill it up! My vote would be for games on the lower level. Super easy access.

I have at least one game down in the Basement that I figure is there forever. It was such a hassle to get down, I never want to try to get it back up.

Well, WE JUST SIGNED THE COUNTER OFFER!!! Looks like it's ours!!! They countered at $10k over our offer (which was still WAYYY less than their asking price), and that price was exactly where we hoped to end up. Tonight we celebrate! Move in date is 10/23!

Congrats Shanman! That's a super fast escrow for a move in date of 10/23! I bet you can't wait! I am REALLY looking forward to all of the in progess game room build pics! :) So now that you have the room, what cabs are at the top of your wish list? Congrats again.

SWEET SHANMAN! I'll have to mob down there in a few months and check it out!!

Yes, do tell... what games are on your list so we can help you find them? :)

What town is the house in? Will I need to start a game train for ya'?

Oh, and can you please prorate October for me? :D

Well my sig mentions my MOST wanted games. I'll have to start working on the 2nd tier, because obviously I won't be full once I get just those. Believe me - I'm going to be in a buying mode big time, although I'm not looking to overpay either. So start up the train! And I'm up for road trips so definitely let me know if you come across a game you think I might want!

One project I'll probably take on when things settle down... PP2 cockpit. I have almost everything out of a PP2 (except pedals and coin door), but no cab - though the cab is at my work so I'll have a reference from which to build a repro. That should be interesting. But I wouldn't complain if someone finds a gutted PP cockpit for me! :D

And the house is in Hillsboro still. I will be having a game room warming party at some point. :) Probably ought to get some more games first though.
