i received a couple requests of pics of my robotron conversion that i'm doing. basically, this was a gutted sinistar that i converted to multi williams with a jrok. i really don't play any games aside from robotron and chrissy's occasional bubbles game, so i decided i wanted to convert it.
i bought the arcadeshop sinistar size multi williams control panel. make sure if you get one, tell steve 5 or 6 times you want a blank one. i specified blank but got a prepunched one. so i filled all the holes, drilled the new robotron holes, and mounted the joysticks/buttons.
as far as the rest of the cab, i had a robotron marquee custom sized to the narrower size and put that on. i'm just waiting on bezel art, and then my plan is to stencil it in the spring when it warms up. yes, i know it's not a real robotron but i'm pretty happy with it.
note that i epoxied large fender washers to cover the already punched holes, and then bondoed over them. really wish i got the blank one i ordered so i didn't have to patch this up. also, i know the wiring is a mess. i need to get some zipties and neaten it up.
