I had originally planned to Multi-Williams my Defender, but I picked up a Joust at an auction recently. I got my 2 JROK boards today, which gives me some interesting possibilities. I could keep the Defender CP original, and make it a Defender/Stargate dedicated. Then I could run all the other games in the Joust cab. These would sit next to a restored Black Knight, making a pretty kick-ass row of Williams games.

Yeah, I'm liking this idea.

My 2 cents, I'd do exactly as you have suggested here. Defender and Stargate are tough to play on a tall 8 way joystick. Its not impossible but it makes the game a bit too hard to control. If you could keep the 2 way up/down short stick on the panel and add a button for Inviso I think that would be the best setup. All of the other games play fine on an 8-way stick.

Enjoy those boards. They are really nice.

Thanks Matt, I JROK'ed my Joust today. Instead of using a switching PS, I made a custom 15-pin connector for the original PS (rectifier) board, for +5,-5, +12 and ground. Worked like a champ, and I like knowing that there are fuses. I haven't cut any wires yet, and don't plan to.

Can't wait to build up my CP; I've been wanting to do a MW for a long time.

I dont think that JROK's MultiWMS needs +12 or -5. The +5 output from the factory power supply should be enough to drive that board.

You made a good choice going with those boards. The ArcadeShop solution is OK but the Multi-Horizontal thing (9 in 1 I guess) is really bad.

definitely. i've played the 19-1 horizontal multi williams and it sucks. it is really not that user friendly. the jrok board rules.
