My most ambitious restore yet. Punch-Out!! cabinet is DONE! TONS of photos!!
I cannot tell you how relieved I am to be done with this damn restore!!!! I think I have about 40hrs. total in this cabinet, if not more. There is something to be said about spending a little more and doing less. There isn't a piece in this cabinet that I didn't touch, repaint, replace, or polish. This thing was infested with mice when I got it and now it's a pristine gem. It's minty.
A lot of firsts for me with this one...
I never used bondo before this project and am pretty proud how it turned out. Can't even tell!
I never built a base from scratch before, looks like new. Even got new wheels.
Never stripped down coin doors before this, they look like new now.
Never dealt with mice before this, can't even tell they lived here at one time.
Never painted an entire cabinet top to bottom, inside and out. It wasn't fun. Took 6 coats of paint with sanding between to finally get it looking acceptable. I know it could have looked better with a sprayer. But, I was not about to buy an expensive compressor so I used a foam roller. Honestly, it turned out pretty decent. I used Rustoleum Satin Black and thinned it with Acetone.
Anyways, you get the idea! Check it out!
I took a TON of photos. Like, a stupid amount of photos. If you care to see them go here:

That's the original CPO!!! It cleaned up AWESOME! It's the best part of the cabinet. Saved me $50, I am cool with that!
I am just relieved I am done with this cabinet! Just waiting for the PCB repair to be complete and then I am good to go (need to drop the monitors back in too - and they could use cap kits.
