Ok, it didn't really make a big difference if I got a moon pie with my order…….but when it wasn't in the box, I was devastated. I made my first order with Bob Roberts and have heard what great products he sells and that he does this silly thing with moon pies. Well I thought the moon pie thing was silly but kind of cool at the same time.
Well tonight I had an empty feeling in my gut. It was like opening up the box of cracker jacks and not getting the prize… the cracker jacks are what you wanted, but you know you will get a prize.
Oh well, I have all my parts and now I need to get to work. :)

I've never got a moon pie (don't really want one either). Last time I randomly got a pair of clippers (not on his lagniappe page).

I got some mini screwdrivers for one order and calculator for another one. I never specified anything for freebie just figure it was just something a little extra that he did.

It is, but I only need so many mini screw drivers, so I just request something. On some orders he might even throw in something I didn't request.

I think I've gotten pretty much everything on that page :D Is it bad when you have Bob setup on Bill Pay?

What size was your order (in dollars). The lagniappe freebies start at $50.

the lagniappe lollapalooza page tells all about it.

http://www.therealbobroberts.net/lagniappe.html -Arcadenut beat me to it :D

I've never actually requested anything off it, i let them use their judgement and send whatever they want. tho next order i might ask for the set of corner protectors as i can always use them. I've never been disappointed with what i got, and never expect it to be there but always appreciative, him and his family run such a great business.

I've always ordered over $50 from him and always around moon pie season, tho i don't eat them they're suppose to go to my niece and nephew but i think my brother in-law always gets his hands on them first lol.

I've gotten mardi gras beads
mardi gras cup
moon pies
mini moon pies
calculator
dual sided screwdriver
prolly some other things i'm forgetting. in just 2 orders

i didn't get a moon pie last time, more due to the incompetence of the usps. somehow they destroyed the original box, and put the parts in a new box, cut the labels off the old box and taped them on. so i received a box with a bunch of k6100 and ar2 parts bouncing around cause the bags were shredded, and no moonpie, which i suspect a usps employee ate.

Like I said, I'm not worried about a pie (unless its bannana cream) with the order. I was just like "Wow, my first order with Bob and now I will be able to talk about the Moon Pie thing" LOL.
This post was just in humor of it all. I would have no problems ordering from the man again.

Bob's always been good about throwing in some kind of freebie, even if your order isn't big and you didn't specify any lagniappe gift. It's usually an extra fuse, transistor, small tool, ect... If nothing's asked or requested by the buyer, he(they) will try and throw in something that might be useful based on the parts you're ordering.

In the past, freebie's I've received:
-4 Amp fuses(x4)
-HOT for a Hantarex Polo(back up for the one I ordered)
-Moon pies(lost count with all the orders I did around Mardi Gras time)
-Beads
-Mardi Gras cups
-Resistors
-Tubes of solder
-DC Fan
-Buttons

Maybe something's changed and the gifts have stopped for a moment.

I've placed 5 orders with Bob for varying amounts. So far, I have received:

Mardi Gras beads
Mardi Gras cup
Moon Pies
carriage bolts
pcb feet

I don't really care for moon pies but I do occasionally get them in orders from Bob. Actually the last order I placed which was for a few pokeys I swear Bob used moon pies instead of packing material. I think there were like 4 or 5 moon pies and my pokeys in a small flat rate box.
