Use a multimeter to check for continuity from where the monitor plugs into the transformer harness all the way to the plug that plugs into the wall.
(if that makes any sense)
If your monitor is plugged into the proper part of the transformer there will NOT be any continuity from the two pin plug that the monitor plugs into and the three prong plug that goes into the wall.
Can you grab a better picture from the back of your cabinet showing where the monitor is actually plugged into?
Not too close, enough to see monitor, cords, transformer, etc.
