Well, after some negotiating with my wife, I was able to take over (temporarily, until after the super bowl) another room to put the games into, so I was finally able to put all 4 MK's in a row.. And they look great! I get a big grin on my face every time I walk in and play a few games... the toughest part is deciding which one to play (of course!). We like to have people over for football parties, hence the "party" setup in an area that we wouldn't usually use for games. It's all about HAVING FUN.

I was now able to make my officlal Arcade room complete the way I want it.. All in one room with my arcade carpet and such is my Major Havoc, Quantum, Reactor, Star Wars, Donkey Kong (w/DKII kit), Discs of Tron, Tron, Aracade Legends 2 machine (yeah, yeah, its for the wife and guests!) and soon to be added LOTR pinball. Pics on that in a week or so once I finish it up. This was a lot of work getting everything setup, I had to find casters and make my own casters then add thick felt sliders under the MK's to protect the wood floors. It was a long weekend of working on games and setting things up.

Here's my current MK setup! ;D

Thats GREAT! I don't think I have ever seen all 4 lined up before! MK ROCKS!

I love MK 1,2 and UMK 3. MK 3 was okay. MK 4 was meh.
I like how the mirror makes it look like you have a big row of games.:D

I wanna see the rare game row! MH,Reactor,Quantum,Discs of Tron, etc.

Very very nice there sir. I am a touch jealous. No MK3.5 (cough War Gods)? :)
Fellow KLOVer zenomorph had all 4 at one point as well. It was a cool site to see for sure .

To the OP: Looks nice! I'm a fan of the first 2 MK games....3 was okay, but I confess I haven't even played 4. I have to say that MK2 is my favorite looking cab in the series as well as favorite game.

awesome

Man thats sweet.. Can you copy the move cards on mk3 and send them to me???lol....

My mk3 is in a Z capcom cab...Its still just as fun though..

"Toasty!" Only one suggestion: Put them on the other side of the room and put MK4 all the way against the mirror so nobody has to see that god awful Uncle Fester / Quan Chi sideart.

I no longer have the files for the cards, but I did get them from a guy off of youtube, I think his id is "yourmkarcadesource". Great guy, he's always been helpful any time I've ever asked him for any advice or for anything. He was my inspiration for getting all 4 machines.

I plan on getting some pics and vid of my arcade room with my other games, stay tuned... I've had a lot of requests for that. Oh, and Joe, I am definately getting LED's in my LOTR pin, I also plan on a subwoofer upgrade and if I end up with an LE version, a shaker. The one thing I hate about the LE verison is the lack of figures on the playfield, it just doesn't look right without them, especially since the Standard edition had them.

Oh, and I know a lot of people are thinking the same thing, that MK4 has the worst graphics... I couldn't agree more, I really contemplated putting MK2 on the end since it is the absolutely best art work, but it just didn't seem right having them out of order when I tried it! My wife commented that at least MK4 had the best art for halloween (lol). And yes, my wife is an amazing woman for putting up with me :)

That's true. I've always been partial to the MK 1 art myself, but MK 2 has some pretty awesome art as well.Every one looks to be in great shape! Where did you get each? CL? Ebay? Other?

yourmkarcadesource was also my inspiration for my project and a HUGE HUGE help to me. The first vid of his I watched taught me how to "repair" bad ROMS. Saved me two boards.

I assume you know his alter ego khabbi, really a great guy.

And on MK4 having bad side art...I have it at my restaurant, and the day after I got it in, a girl who works for me came in to work in the morning. The lights were still off, it was fairly dark in the store. And she turned a corner and there was Quan Chi staring at her :)

The employees at the coffee shop next to me in the strip mall described the scream as blood curdling. MK1 is my favorite side art but after that MK4 will always hold a special place for me.

I see eight! ;P Very cool! 4's artwork is goofy, but since when is the MK series ever not? Part of the charm was how tongue in cheek the whole thing is.

Makes me want to leap on the MK2 "project" I picked up recently. Only gonna run 1 and 2 off of that machine (the only 2 MK's that I really got into...I also couldn't screw up MK2 by adding a run button...yeesh).

...and yeah. I've also gone through most of yourmksource's videos. Totally recommended. Really nice resource.

Well, I've considered that if I ever did split my machines and make multi's, the MK2 is my favorite but I'd never have the heart to drill the CP to add the run button.. so I'd have to use my MK2 machine and add an MK1 pcb, then either my MK3 or 4 with the 3/4 pcbs in that one.. with the room they take up, I've thought about doing it, but I am too attached to the MK's to get rid of any of them.

I bought MK1 from the original operator that had it on route in the 90's, it had been at his home for the last 10 years when I got it!

The MK2 was found from a craigslist ad, the guy didn't even have it advertised but I saw it in the background. Talked with him for over a month about the MK2, and he couldn't even pull it out of storage to get better pics of the machine since his storage was so jammed. He offered to sell at a really good price, so I drove 5 hours south and rolled the dice as to what I was going to get.. When I got there, the machine was absolutely MINT- and to this day, one of my best Arcade scores.

I found MK3 in a barber shop locally (lol), it was quite the coincidental find! The guy used to have it setup that once a kid got a haircut, they could get a free game or two on the machine :)

MK4 was shipped from Indianapolis, I searched for a long time for one locally but got a good deal from a forum member here and with Aaron7146's help I landed this one.

Each one to me has a cool story on my quest to get all 4, it certainly was not an easy task!!

Oh, and I have a lot of people who are not MK fans ask me why I have so many fighters, but I like each game since each one plays so differently.

I am pretty sure yourmkarcadesource is xenomorp on here. Either way last I heard he still has all 4, he just has them all in one machine with the multi he did.

Nice looking lineup, sounds like you've got some great classics as well. Kind of unusual to see someone with a love for the classics and a love for the 90's fighters, gets a thumbs up in my book. :)

Great job!. Looks like a Mamemarqees UMK3 marquee (colors are all wrong). But I'm not here to criticize. Looks great. I would also suggest leveling out your legs so all the cabs are the same height. Looks better imo. I actually had all FIVE cabinets at one point...
