My Missile Command Cockpit. How far should I take it??

Killer Game

i just got a cocktail version of missile command. if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the cockpit version? i gave $400.00 for my cocktail table, kinda high 'eh???

I love this cockpit. If I ever got a cockpit, it'd probably be this one. It doesn't get much cooler. I'll be looking forward to see what resto work you do- good luck!

If it's in good shape and working, I don't think that's too bad.

Try buying it for that in an amusement retail store!

To go all the way sideart would have to be reproduced, Im checking on that it might be possible. Someone in another thread suggested taping and painting. Im not sure if this would work.

I want this baby nice. How far would you guys go with it??

Yep, taping and painting will work, I did it to my Pole Position cockpit and it turned out really nice. Use a foam roller and rustoleum oil-based white in a satin or semi-gloss cut with a little penetrol.

Let me review..

You have a nice Lunar Lander (and you're awesome at it)

You have a missile command cockpit.

I hate you! :(

But much less than I did before I had a decent Lunar Lander and a missile command upright.

Wait until you see what im working on now:eek:

Fantastic pickup!!! Yes, clean or replace those edge connectors, do the AR rebuild kit (or send it to me :)) and get the multikit.

The SMA that's installed, is it ROMs only or the old GCC kit?

It has the multi kit. Since there is no player 2 start button, you hold down all 3 fire buttons then press player 1 and it switches to SMA

Well, I paid $200 for a cocktail a little over a year ago. Mine was NOT working (junk on screen when powered on, no sound), no lock (drywall screws holding the door shut), some rust on the legs. I've now got a total of $333.10 into it, and it plays well, but I still need to cap the monitor, and possibly do other monitor work, as the image is wavy.

So if you paid $400 for a fully working unit, that's not too beat up, I'd say that's not really a bad price at all.
