I bought 2 Nintendo cabinets last night in Kansas City, 1 is a Donkey Kong Jr. completely assembled and the other is an empty cabinet with Donkey Kong 3 marquee, bezel, and side art. The coin door on the Donkey Kong Jr. was locked and we were unable to get into it until earlier today. I went through the back of the cabinet to the coin door and removed the nut holding the lock on. I removed the lock, opened the door, and removed the coin drawer. To my surprise there was $25.00 worth of quarters from 1962 up to 1986 and they all look brand new like they were minted yesterday!

How much did you pay? Take that and subtract the $25 and it gives you a whooping total of.... (Nighthawk insert's total here) !!

I paid $350.00 for the Donkey Kong Jr. and $100.00 for the other cabinet. Which gave me a grand total of $425.00!!! Whoop Whoop!

212.5 for each cabinet isn't bad, isn't bad at all..

I just noticed your new here! Welcome to the forms, are these your first arcade games?

I thought it was a really good deal too. Yes, I am new here and to the arcade game world. My brother and I actually bought a Kangaroo arcade game and Redline Racer before I got these two arcade games. I hope to get help with information on how to appropriately restore my cabinet, and get help finding all of the parts I need for it. I'm debating on whether I want to restore it with Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong 3. There is a Donkey Kong 3 bezel, and marquee on it right now so I may stick with Donkey Kong 3. Also, one side of the cabinet has Donkey Kong art while the other side has Donkey Kong 3 art.

Well I think you made it to the right place. :) Have you played both DK and DK3? Do you have Mame?

I have never played either of the games. The one I bought last night was the first Donkey Kong I have ever played on an arcade machine. I do not have Mame either, I have heard of it but I do not have it.

1962? Are you sure?

1964 and earlier are silver. If those look brand new, they're quite a find.

Ok I was wrong, my brother and I were looking them over and he said he thought he found a quarter from '62. The earliest quarter I found was a '65 so it was close but not close enough. SHOOT!
