My love for these games is back...

Cool story. I live this same scenario every morning and most nights. My son, (who turns 2 in less than 2 weeks) makes me turn on the games, one at a time until most of them are on. He pulls a chair up to each one, plays a bit, then yells for me to play the one next to him. Then he has me move the chair to a different game, then a different one and so on, til he has hit his 6 favorites:

Mario Bros
Primal Rage
Qbert
Moon Patrol
Pigout
World Class Bowling

He also requires the Juke to be on so that he can either dance or headbang while playing. I love that.

Thats cool , from the looks of those pics your son is hooked . Now playing these arcade games will always bring back memories of being young , hanging out with dad and having fun . That means hes gonna love these games for the rest of his life , just like everyone else here who experienced them when they were young too .

I think CAX is gonna be one of his favorite things to do .

We've all probably dealt with this feeling at one time or another. Most recently I've been dealing with it myself. Getting my Pole Position finally running has been a big motivator for me.

This is all so true, too. While all this shit was going on, my wife and I would always sit and say to eachother "why worry about all of this? We have each other, our health, and our amazing sons. Things will work themselves out..."

I knew she took the pic of us at CAX and seemed cool from afar. Listening to this, she's more than just a keeper. She's one of those that helps you stay rock solid when things go bad. That's how you know know the character of someone, how they react when things go bad.

Thanks man. She's been that rock for me for the past 14 years. I honestly don't know what I would do without her.

...and she is easy on the eyes too. :)

Jow, that story just floored me... I seriously got warm fuzzies. That is awesome. :) And, as others have said, welcome back!

Damn you guys and your cute-ass kids! That biological clock is screaming!

Kids are amazing. If you are ready (well, are you ever really ready?) do it! :)

Nice story. One of the greatest things about having kids is seeing the wonder in their eyes when they discover something new. It kind of takes you back to your own childhood.

What a great, heartwarming story... thanks for sharing, and it's nice to know that things are looking up for you. I've always believed that no matter how bad things get, either personally or just with the world in general, you will always have your family, and they are always #1. On a lighter note, it looks like Sam may be the next Billy Mitchell since it seems as if he's a natural... ;)

My wife REALLY wants kids. I want kids, too, and stuff like this makes me want them more.

Welcome back (although you never really left the forums), and good luck in the future.

On to the next grail!

The kid is 2, and can pass the 1st two levels of Food Fight, and ZooKeeper. I'm sure its mostly luck, but it sure is fun(ny) to watch :)

They are a lot of work, no doubt but I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. Hopefully you can have some of your own some day. They really are awesome.

Cool story. Just think, pretty soon he will probably kick your ass at the games!

I look forward to all the High Score initials saying SAM :)
