My love for Mr Clean Magic Erasers

I tried out a magic eraser today on some cpo's and some scuffs on my dedicated Capcom Bowling. It took off some big scuff marks on the Capcom Bowling cab and definitely helped clean the few cpo's I tried it on. I used a little Simple Green with the Magic Eraser as that's my general purpose cleaner for cabs. I hope to try some more cleaning soon, but so far I think it's worked well.

Put me in the fanclub for magic erasers! My very first game I bought 13-15 years ago was a Space Invaders. It was a bankruptcy auction and there were only 3 arcade games there and the rest was computer stuff, some home video game stuff and then a whole bunch of misc.

Anyway, I was shocked to see them take a marker and write my bid number both on the side and on the front of the cabinet, directly on the cabinet.

409+others didn't do anything and I thought they were destined to stay there (bright red, btw, on the white surfaces). Tonight I started cleaning it up (with the hopes that a new capkit with bring it back to fully running, finally, later this week). I broke out the magic eraser and the auction numbers came off. So did a lot of grime - the Midway plate on the coin door even shined up fairly well!

EDIT: btw - after I won and while I was paying someone took something and scratched a large V across the monitor plexiglass.....thanks to this site I'm hoping one of the novus products everyone raves about will help lessen the effect!

My turn :D

my experience with magic eraser mirrors others in this thread

I think anyone with kids can attest to the power of the magic eraser. It has saved many of the walls in my house from toddler 'graffiti'. ;)

I have to show off my Magic Eraser fun! I have a Crystal Castles that was horribly dirty! I wrote a post on my blog here: http://www.jeffsgames.com/2010/06/25/magic-erasers/

Here are some before and after, and some halfway through the process pics:

Note I cleaned this SEVERAL times with other cleaners like Simple Green and nothing would touch the ground in dirt. I went through two 4-packs to get this clean but it came out awesome!

So this stuff is produced by BASF in Germany...

But why don't I find these things over here in Europe ?? Weird....I probably will have to ask my wife if she knows about them....we do have those microfiber towels etc. is this similar stuff ?

No, it's a dense white sponge...kind of like that memory foam stuff they use in mattresses and pillows

I see, thanks for that link, I just ordered a box. Seeing the shipping is free, I guess that price is very hard to beat....looking forward to give them a try !

Well we were at friends' tonight and I simply asked if anyone had ever heard of a sponge like this and for sure, you can get them everywhere here it all kinds of brands and cheap too (2 for 1 euro). Still, the box of 60 for about 13 Euro is still a lot cheaper ! :)
