My last purchase of 2011 and the first game I have had shipped arrived last night...EDOT!!! Some delays with the shipping, but it all worked out in the end. Thanks to KLOVer: Nevus (aka: Chris) for the great game and for working with me on payment, shipping and for wrapping/protecting the game for shipping.

The game plays great, but the speech is out (bought it that way). The back glass looks great. The side art is good on the left, but is coming off in a few spots on the right. I am thinking I will get the new artwork from TOG. Here is a link to pictures the original owner sent Nevus when he purchased it from Canada: http://s731.photobucket.com/albums/ww315/Wolfeel55/EDOT/

I remember playing this game at the movie theater in East Bremerton, WA back in the day...and now I can play it at home!!! Just had to share my excitement with you guys. Thanks!

How difficult (and expensive) was it to arrange shipping for that thing that you felt safe with? How far did it travel?

Love the EDOT - spent many a summer afternoon in the glowing cab. Should be fun for your daughter to play too; if she can't reach the controls, I imagine she can get some pointers watching you in the meantime!

That's pretty boss bro! Is it safe to say that's the centerpiece of your collection now?

YES!

Real easy to set up. I used Michelle Bianchi an agent for STI and North American
Precision Transportation (0ffice 630-352-3312, Cell 630-344-3093). The seller used her when he shipped the EDOT from Canada to Louisiana and I believe other members used her as well. It cost about $540 to have it shipped from the sellers storage unit (in Louisiana) to my garage (in Humboldt, way Nor Cal). WAY cheaper than me getting it myself and it cost me zero driving time. In fact, I bet it would be cheaper to have a game shipped from Seattle or the LA area this way than for me to drive and pick it up.

Of course I was worried about having someone else move it for me because we always take better care moving our games than someone else, but the seller packaged it well and the shippers did a good job as well.

It was great, I just put her on the little step behind my back as I played and she just held onto my neck and shoulders and could watch perfectly. She and I loved it!

Glad to hear it shipped safely. That's a centerpiece in any collection and one I doubt I'll ever get to own. Congrats!
