I'm down to these last couple of dumb, paranoid type questions before I try powering it up for the first time....

1) I don't have the the little EMI filter board that attaches to the end of the pcb cage. I'm going to have to connect the two connectors directly to the boards. The connectors don't have keys in them though to make sure you put them on the right way. Can someone tell me or show me how they connect?

2) There was a snipped ground wire that had been cut on my harness, and from what I could tell it looks like it should have been going to the pcb cage. Can someone just confirm that the cage should have one of those clip-on ground wires?

3) On the power supply block, there are two sets of black/white/green wire (J4A and J4B). Looks like they supply power to the fan and marquee. This is really dumb, but I'm assuming they are interchangeable, and don't need to be in a specific spot (i.e, marquee can be plugged into either J4A or J4B)?

4) I asked this in the repair forum already but thought I would add it here again...on the main pcb connector, there looks to be an empty crimp pin in the connector with no wire in it. Doesn't look like it was snipped either. I have two harnesses and it was like this on both. I'm assuming this is the way it should be? There's a pic of this in my other thread.

Thanks guys. Put this thing together starting with a pretty much gutted cab, so I just want to make sure I don't do anything dumb on a little detail at the end.

It is not needed. I can check tonight to get orientation correct.

Yes. The cage was grounded

I'm not sure about this. I can double check my harness, too.

The EMI filter pcb is not needed. I can check tonight to get orientation correct.

See the attached pictures for how the orientation should be, both with and without the EMI shield. Pic1 is with EMI shield, pic2 shows how connectors connect as if shield were gone. There is no change in orientation since the EMI shield is a straight pass through...other than a 90 degree rotation of the connectors towards the back of the cabinet since the EMI shield is gone. See pic3 which shows the EMI shield as a straight pass-through. Essentially, the PCB stack should be oriented in the cabinet as shown (game pcb on left of stack and AVG pcb on right of stack. In this orientation, the game pcb edge connector is above the AVG connector. See the pics for wire colors to help you orient the connectors to the boards.

I'm not sure about this. I can double check my harness, too.

I've checked my harness. My main pcb connector has the same pin present that is unconnected at the spot you indicated in your other post. Also, the smaller AVG pcb edge connector has at least 3 "rows" of pins on one side of connector (top in pic #1) that also have no harness wires, which support the idea that the pins are being used to help grip the pcb.

Hope that helps!
