I went over to Lloyds Coinop Warehouse on Friday, and, wow, did he have lots of games. It kinda reminded me of the ol' Hagerstown warehouse days. He had a good number of Midway & Taito cabs, 3 Tuts, a Theif, a Rescue, a fairly cosmetically nice SI, and lots of other stuff. A lot of newer cabs as well. I got a decent but dirty Robotron converted to a Choplifter, a Vs Hogan's in a DKJR cab (nice shape and nearly working) and last but not least, and old style bottle Coke machine. I've been wanting a bottle Coke machine for a long time. We plugged the Coke machine up and it was working! You could feel the cool air coming on. The cool looking Coke marquee on the front is a little busted up, however. Maybe This Old Game could make repros of that? j/k. The Hogan's boots up but when you go to select a 1 or 2 player game, the shots fire and you can hear them, but the game does not start. It just kind of sits there in the game select mode. I don't know much about Vs games - what's the difference between Vs & Playchoice? I'm Ninty ignorant, but I do have a DK. I'm still tempted to head over to Lloyds again, but I barely have room for any more. He is, or was, letting stuff go pretty cheap.

PS - I was amazed how heavy that Coke machine was. Somehow my minivan hauled it and the Nintendo cab at the same time. I made a 2nd trip that day to get the Robo/Choplifter. I almost wish I went back for a 3rd time.

So did you get 1 Robotron + 1 Choplifter Robotron or just the Choplifter Robotron? I got mixed up reading your post a bit. :\

Sorry for the confusion, just one Choplifter Robotron. I added the pic of the side just to show the side art is still pretty decent. But, it started out comletely brown instead of grey. I cleaned it up a little, but still need to have another go at it.

The Vs. is a chip swap to change games, and the playchoice is a cartridge. Also the playchoice is a timed game and you can install up to ten games. The upright that you have only plays one game at a time. Does he have any extra Vs. Chipsets???

I doubt it, but you could email him and ask. I think I got the last Nintendo cab that he had avail, but I'm not sure of that.

Very cool Coke machine, nice find.

MInes on its way

I'm sure I've got a lot to learn about that Coke machine, but the insides of it look pretty clean. The compressor area is filthy, however. I hope that those 'mexican' coke bottles that you can get at COSTCO fit the machine. I also need to find out which beer bottles will fit, of course.

Coke machine

Mines not quite that old for the bottles.

I went with a 70's vendo 125 very very clean and runs great. Great price

One day maybe a nice bottle one...
