It works. I put the Jammaboards.com 6 in 1 in a cab with 2 IT boards, World Class Bowling Deluxe and GT2K, and there is no loss of video signal. The games switch just fine. I just have to crank up the 5V a bit, as there seems to be a little voltage loss. Now I will be hooking up a 3rd board, GT2005 into the mix. I assume I should have no issues with that one either. I'll get pics of the inside of the cab when the third board is installed. Since this is in a Sega VF cab, I have plenty of room for the additional 3 more boards that will eventually be going in here. Not a huge fan of the remote, wish they just had a wired switch, but at least it works.

I am debating on getting one of these as well, but am not in a hurry so I will be waiting on your full review. I am not a big fan of using a remote either. I would rather have to hit the 2 start buttons at once, or a seperate switch. Thats why I like Mikes 2n1. But I would like one of these to put all the MKs in one cab.

This ran about $100 didnt it?

It'll be interesting to see how it runs fully loaded. Hopefully you won't have to tweak the 5V any more. Maybe there's a tap on the board somewhere to wire up your own switch, so you don't have to use the remote? I don't suppose it came with any kind of real documentation?

Are all the boards powered on at the same time, or seperately? I just remember different adapters doing it differently. I know the 2 n 1 I currently has powers them both at once

They power separately, which is a bonus. The 2 in 1 powered them up at the same time and there was a severe video signal loss and voltage loss. Here it's just a voltage loss, prolly cuz of the extra distance and parts the dc current has to travel thru. I am also currently experimenting to see how many of Mike's trackball splitters I can daisy chain to get 4 and eventually 6 boards into 1 trackball. I currently have 2 daisy chained for 3 boards, and the first 2 boards are working flawlessly.

So what kind of packaging did it come in?

Everybody is always asking Phet about his package. What's up with that?

Oh, and by everybody, I mean usually Jow, Frizz, and Jow and Frizz.

Maybe you had more then the regular problems with your 2-1, it should have been switching power, only one board powered at a time. The Mike's powers up both boards at the same time and switches video/sound. But the one Jammaboards/y-plus is designed to switch power between boards.

I just installed a 6 in 1 switcher in my cab and it works great. The only problem I had was the -5 volts was dead ended at the edge connector. I had 2 boards which needed -5 volts. I ended up jumping the -5v to each slot and used a relay to cut power when not in use. Now it works on all games.

I don't see what the big deal is with the wireless remote? I just keep it inside the coin door when not in use. It works perfectly.

ive had issues with the ones for my cars. ever been locked out in 20 degree weather because your door actuators couldnt get a signal. not the same situation but just prior experience

No,it rarely gets that cold here in sunny california. If the car remote didn't work I would just use a key.

So the 6 in 1 board is sitting at the bottom of the cab and the 6 jamma boards are suppose to just sit there on top?
I just can't picture it. I guess I'm just used to having the board always attached to the cabinet nice and safe.
Any pictures of this in use?

I have the switcher on the bottom of the cab and I am using 3' jamma extension harnesses. The boards are mounted where I could fit them. I am using a Nintendo cab that was jammatized before I bought it,so there is not alot of room. One good thing is DK & DKJR fit on the shelf like normal. My card reader on my computer is not working ,so I have to get a cable then I can post pictures.
