I finally figured out the issue with my Mortal Kombat that would randomly starts to reset after weeks of being alright - The jamma harness connector seems to be... loose. It just seems to comes off after a few weeks of playing (my mk1 cab is the most played cab and gets lot of action). It obviously does just not detach from the board, but it seems to move just a little itsy bit, just enough to cause resets.

Outside of replacing the connector, are there any quick and dirty tricks for fixing that?

Quick and dirty, you say? Well, you asked for it...

Binder clips. One or two of those large black metal binder clips meant for holding big stacks of paper together clamped onto the edge connector will keep it in place. Just make sure they are positioned only on the edge connector housing and won't slip off. They'll bend the connector housing together and tighten the grip on the board.

I've used these as a stop-gap on Pac boards too.

The best solution is, of course, to replace the connector...
