My Holy Grail find...better than I could have imagined! (Maybe...)
So today, I get an email from a buddy...friend of a friend had my Holy Grail for sale, a 1990 Aliens arcade in working condition for an unbelievable price. I went down this evening and spoke to the guy, and he showed me something I wasn't expecting: An Aliens arcade in a very different cabinet than I'm used to seeing. The cabinet is a Xenophobe-style cabinet with molded plastic instead of side art, shaped like a coiled up Alien, Geiger style. The cab has seen its share of years but will be easy enough to restore. Needless to say, I quickly thrust the cash into the guy's hand so he couldn't change his mind
Now my question, is this cabinet unique? I've been searching Google like crazy and have yet to see another one like it. I'm guessing either its a prototype, or a conversion with custom-made plastic vacuformed sideart. I will add some pics tomorrow when its daylight and I can get a better look at it
