My grail just got listed... BUT DANG

Could be just a switch that hasn't been detected as active in a while, and thus, needs to be adjusted or replaced.

It cant be too bad. I hate this pinball machine, not because of game play. I hate it because every one that comes through my store always has issues and when you fix one thing 2 more things quit working. That damn interconnect board is burnt up half the time it seems like and the lights and flashers are a pain in the ass because of this.

Nope the batteries on the MPU died. Hopefully there is no acid damage but that is what the error message on the display in the picture indicates. He's only 1200 too high. Keep looking.

haha, yeah i told him he was probably double its value.

He didn't like that.

"What did you base your asking price on"

"Ebay"

"Ugh"

Actually having a person quote eBay gives you the upper hand. Hopefully you didn't miss this golden opportunity.
Send him this link and tell him these ARE ACTUAL eBay prices and you're willing to pay fair market value. If it's as nice as he claims and you pay the average eBay price - that's a win in my opinion. You get your grail in nice shape.

but, but, it's "priced to sale" - it *must* be a good price!

UT is a barren wasteland for buying pins. about as bad as NM :/.

ETA: just noticed the OP is in logan. went to USU as an undergrad - loooong time ago. went back this fall, so very different...

would you be willing to drive to sacramento for one, I know of a dude who would probably sell his for a lot less than that and none of these "issues"

I just bought the same game for far less. It works great and you should be able to find one for much less. This one, from the poor pics, looks pretty good. As others have said, the Adjustment Failure means it lost the memor, either because the batteries died, or there is corrosion on the battery terminals.

Chris

It's either dead batteries, or more seriously - a bad battery holder. I've had games that will spit out an adjustment failure every time you power the game on because the holder was bad (even with new batteries). This resets the game memory every time it gets turned off.

You can actually change out the batteries while the machine is on and keep your high scores & settings since it is being stored in the ram while the machine is on.

And yes, that is a ripoff price. BK2K is a $1500 game at most.

Thanks guys!

Yeah Logan is a great place, always changing and growing. I like it. UTAH is a wasteland though for pins. It is super rare to see something your actually looking for pop up.

Told the guy I would offer 1400 as that is what BK2K is worth. "Low book is 1600 and its in good shape so I was thinking 1900"

Low book?

I told him I would pass. I really wasn't trying to sound like a jackass but this guy is asking whitewater money for a BK2K.

WHERE DO PEOPLE GET THIS STUFF?
