My "Grail" has Arrived!!! (well, partially)

Two thoughts...

1) The US Dollar sucks right now.

2) This may quickly become the game I drain the most money into to get working. :)

Hell yeah, it works. Now I just need the cabinet. And for the record, my wife wasn't too pleased that I decided to spread this out across the bedroom floor to test it. :)

P.S. My cell phone takes crappy pics.

It's ALIVE!!! At least I know the setup works. Now I just need to install it all into the cab. The monitor works which is good. Needs some serious degaussing and I may need to "turn" it a bit as it is sitting a tiny bit crooked. But I'll get to that.

Oh question... the two "degaussing" wires that come off of the Nanao chassis (the red ones). I assume at one point they went to a switch. Can I just run them to any push-button switch or do they need to be wired some other way?

Awesome! Dont they all just hate us and our hobby!?!

Haha... it's okay if she can't see it. :) At least in the two recent pics from tonight it is spread out in the basement. There are a couple other parts to the whole setup to the left of the 1st picture (from today's post) so it's quite a mess right now. Next up is mounting all of the components to boards inside the cab (so I don't have to drill into the metal base), cleaning up the wiring, etc.

Alright, why not... to keep it all straight in my head here is my to do list for this game.

In no particular order...

-Cut board(s) to fit bottom of the cab and figure out how to bolt them down.
-Play Tetris with the dozen parts that I somehow need to fit into the bottom of the cab.
-"Clean up" wiring using lots of zip ties to get rid of the insane mess of wires.
-Install the monitor into cab.
-Degauss the hell out of the monitor.
-Get monitor color, size, etc perfect.
-Go to hardware store to get all new bolts to replace the rusted ones I currently have.
-Take instruction card to get scanned so I can create a custom card as the one I have doesn't fit the instruction card spot on this cab. Figure out where to have this new card printed.

(delay in thought process as we're watching Daniel Tosh standup... hilarious)

-Find a front access door for the cab.
-Find the rubber "guard" that goes between the banana controller and the cp so I can reinstall the banana joystick.

(do you know who loves to get fisted?... ... ... sock puppets)

-Put entire cab back together
-Play the game until my 4 year old son takes over... he can't wait for this game to be finished.

K, need to stop typing. I'll probably just post here again in 6 months when I finally get everything finished.
