My ghetto CSI mod

haha pretty funny man. Is the diet coke in the background evidence?

You have a good eye. If you collect DNA from the coke can you get a special hurry up mode!

It's super silly, but I asked the guys at lucky ju ju if they were cool with it and they said "go for it!" Conservatively this adds at least 1k to the resale value of this game.

Must have been good ju ju. I beat my best score on the Fun House next to it (28M). :)

Great pin!!!!!! I'm waiting till they sneak done in price a little bit more than I'm going to snag one! Thinking 2kish.....

It's a pretty fun game, I feel. I wouldn't mind having one when they price comes down a bit. I know my wife would enjoy it for the theme and it feels like her type of player.

I think it's a pretty good. It has nice features and definitely feels like a lawlor game, but sort of lawlor-lite with the one ramp. Gameplay is quite fun. My casual-player friends gravitated toward it. I would take this game any day over rollercoaster tycoon, which to me is a busy and unsatisfying mess.

There's lots of stuff to shoot for in CSI or you can play very conservatively by just going for skull multiball over and over.

Depending on how you play it can be quite drainy, but once you start familiarizing yourself with the danger zones it then gets rather friendly. Contrast this with Big Buck Hunter, which when played straight up is very drainy (at least, the one I played was - shots to the buck are always drain candidates). The only safe shot I found in the game was the moose ramp. I would probably take a CSI before a BBH.

I don't watch the show and there's a pretty constant voice narrating the action who I understand is one of the actors on the show. I don't care for this voice, but if you're a fan of the show it may enhance the experience for you.

Overall, it's better than Stern NBA and Indy (much better), about even with BBH and below LOTR.

i like it!!!

and on halloween you can put some faux dirt with skulls under there lit up by blacklight/green lights or soemthing

great pin, btw.. i got my hands on one at the pinball hall of fame in vegas when i was there.. Nice solid gameplay.. i was afraid sterns newer pins would all play alike but much to my suprise they all have a feel all thier own(except shreck and fam guy are basically the same)

Do the "body outline" on the floor under the game with white tape.

That would be awesome.

RM

Awesome idea!! I'm on it!

I hear they're moving pins around so hopefully it will be in a good location after the move.

A UV light on the taped outline might add a cool effect. Of course, we're no longer in the realm of cheap mods at that point.

Bah, UV is cheap. I am liking where this is going though. Arm hanging out of the cabinet somehow, UV Light shining on a chalk line, and throw in some "stains" that make the UV light show spots to really give it that CSI feel.

Laundry detergent has phosphors. Maybe I could mix some up but still keep it runny enough to spatter like blood.

Unfortunately I think they're moving it into a room where it will be parallel with other pins and the effect will be lost. :(

Well, bare minimum, you should put two feet chalk outlines in front of the machine. That would be cool.

Yeah, that would be cool too.

I don't want to get too overboard because a) that's a pin at lucky ju ju not my own, b) I got the go-ahead from the staff but the owner of ju ju (Michael Schiess) didn't officially okay it, and c) that CSI is on loan to them from the owner, a patron of the museum.

So whenever doing stuff around OPS (other people's stuff) I try to tread cautiously... :)

Wait, what? Isnt real life like the internet. You just do whatever you want with total disregard for anyone else, and no fear of consequence since you are anonymous?
