It smells bad, like particle board, moisture and glue. It's also a little musty like it's been in a basement or somewhere damp but there's no water damage.

I know normally they smell like mouse pee so I'm glad I'm not in that boat...

So, what can I do to get rid of this smell? The game's presently sitting in my carport until I can get rid of the stink...

Paint. Clean it. Baking Soda. Coffee Grinds. Search the forum, there are several threads on this already.

Kind of wierd to say this, but I kind of like that "old" smell which accompanies arcade games. But I can understand you'd probably want it to smell odorless if it comes into a house. I beleive there was a thread started a couple weeks ago on this very subject. Not sure what the answer was...nuke it with lysol?

i have a ionizer box that does the trick most of the time...

also a few open boxes of baking soda will also help suckup the skank...

If still no good just paint the inside of it to seal that krap in permanately.

My gameroom smells like rat piss right now. I HATE it! The problem is, I can't tie down the source. None of the games outright stink when I'm right on top of them. I also brought several new additions in a relatively close time frame. I can't pinpoint when the smell started.
My money is on Paperboy though.
It makes me freak out thinking that there are real rats out there...

Strip the cab , then cover the inside with clear wood sealer . No more smell .
