Cabinet looks pretty good. Looks like original boards and power supply but what's up with this monitor? The picture is so scrunched. We adjusted the horizontal hold, nothing. Also there no sound when jumpman jumps.

First thing with any new Nintendo game purchase is to install a cap kit. Sound issues might also stem from components on the monitor. Looks like a nice cab.

Have you tried adjusting the pots on the pcb?
VR1 or VR2. One is horiz. and one is vert.
You can stretch the pic with one of them.
Picture looks pretty good so a cap kit might not be necessary.

You can actually add 1 single cap and it would fix that.
Mine did the same shit and I changed 1 cap and it fixed it.
however doing a complete cap kit is way better, which I ended up doing.

Have you tried the vertical size pot?

That would be the VR2 pot on the pcb.
A cap kit is a good thing to do unless the pot stretches the screen enough and the pic looks good.
Can you tell if it has been capped before?
The pic looks good except for the size.

You need a capkit for the monitor main board and for the sound amplifier board on the monitor chassis.
You have a Nintendo Sanyo monitor.

Zanen Electronics:

Capkit # 301 for the monitor main board

Kit # 310 for the sound amplifier board

1-888-44-ZANEN or (806) 829-2780

All major credit cards accepted.

Ken is exactly right. On the sound board, there is one really large cap that I bet is burned out to the point where it would probably lift right off the circuit board with little force.

AND MAKE SURE YOU SAFELY DISCHARGE THE MONITOR

Seriously read up on this stuff before you do anything, the Googlenets are your friend
