Yup, this is a true "Barn" find. My dad's friend contacted me after he just moved into his new home. It has a barn that had horses in it. and I scored this free cocktail, but I know that all of the Galaga games have a two board set. This game only has a single board but is still using the Midway Power board as well. some of the wires of the PCB harness have been seperated from the edge connector. any Ideas on what it could be. With just having a two way joy stick this pcb is pretty limited on what it could be....Right.....? well heres the pics. oh and the only thing I get on screen is a solid green stripe that runs down the center on the vertical screen SO, I cant tell what the PCB is when it's turned on anyway....LOL

Galaxian like Pac Man took AC into the board and did AC to DC conversion on the upper left corner of the board. Since the Galaga has its own AC to DC converter (power supply) they removed those parts from the Galaxian board and installed a couple of yellow jumpers.

Makes sense. When I told my wife about this thread, she says "Well, that's not so bad, I like Galaxian more than Galaga."

Too many eproms to be Galaxian. It's more like a Moon Cresta or Eagle bootleg setup. Still good games though.

Well, I guess I have to get this baby up and running so I can crack this Case wide open like the hardy boys, maybe I'm more like Nancy Drew...... : ( LOL

It looks like a Galaxian board but there were some Sega boards that looked a lot like that and IIRC were missing the AC components. Moon Cresta could be one of them.
