Just got back home a few hours ago from ThatGuy and Gregatron's Arcade Sale.
I expected a stampede just like many guys had anticipated with a sale of this magnitude, but it was nothing like that at all. Greg and Paul are two of the coolest dudes anyone would ever meet. They planned and organized so well that it made the process very simple and easy for everyone involved. They were very generous with their time and gave every guy that scheduled a pickup as much time as he wanted to look through the warehouse. There were only about 4-6 guys there at a time so it was plenty comfortable.
Many KLOV guys will be disappointed to hear (and see) it was mainly JAMMA games and parts, but the guys had made that very clear in the beginning. Regardless, there were still gems and deals to be had and I think most guys went away with something they wanted. I drove 6 hours round trip (left at 6AM and got home at 5PM), but it was worth helping these guys out and hanging out with good company for a bit (Prairied1ll0, DPLouie, Slackmoe, etc.). It was the best part of the whole day. I consider my pickups the cherry on top.
So I just want to say a big thanks to Paul and Greg for doing such a great job and making my first "Warehouse Raid" a successful and most enjoyable one.
P.S. This was just the warehouse, they have more games and stuff at the house and possibly more games coming. Still a good amount of machines, boards, parts and art left. I'm sure the guys will be re-listing items and posting new items as they go through them. Go to their thread for more updates and details: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=150733
