I have a Lethal Enforcers with its original sideart spraypainted black, and a Police Trainer sticker on top of that. Tried removing spraypaint without damaging original vinyl, but I couldn't get it working.

Broke out the heat gun. It took me a while before I got the hang of it. At first, it went very slowly, using a razor blade. Then I figured out to only start the corner with the blade, then switch to pulling with my hands. It's a fine balance to heat it enough to soften the glue, but not too much or the sideart loses strength and tears. I eventually settled into heating up several inches at a time, then pulling. If I had and extra hand or two, I could have worked continuously, heating several inches ahead of where I was peeling.

So eventually I got it all off, with minimal residual adhesvie left on the wood. That succumbed to some acetone.

Now I hope I can figure out applying new art without destroying it...

great technique, Lucky I have a little practice working with vinyl with my vehicle graphics.

1 drop of soap in a spray bottle of water, mist the surface you are applying the graphic to, and the sticky side of the graphic, it makes it easy to work with and reposition until you get it right where you need it.

post pics.
