Started with pins and now here is my first Videogame

This was a unplanned purchase so time

Ms Pacman

Done so far
Drilled the back panel lock and replaced it out of my pinball spares
Replaced the 25cent wedge bulbs out of my pinball spares

Should I keep it in its faded shape or restore the paint??

I would leave the paint alone. Overall that is a pretty decent looking original machine, not perfect but not bad enough to bother repainting (and in fact if you decided to go that route you would be better off starting with an already painted over Ms. Pac-Man cabinet and doing the paint work on that instead.

Yeah, it would seem silly spending all that time, effort and money to turn an 8 into a 10 when the same could be used to turn a 2 into a 10 instead.

I agree...I'm looking for one of similar quality paint-wise that I would definitely keep original

I think I going to keep it original on the outside

Now I just need to get it working

+1 That doesn't look too bad and the time and money would be better spent on a beater cab. It is only original once.

Well with a cheap eBayed pcb I'm back and running with Ms Pac in hyper speed. Hopefully Ill be able to get over to pinballwizards place and burn some roms for more options

That marquee and bezel are not faded at all! Wow!

As for the paint I would try some cleaner automotive wax on the pink and see if removing the outer oxidation might darken it up.

Otherwise don't do anything.
