Hey guys,
Fortunately this machine came up for sale locally, the original owner had it for many years stored away untouched in his garage and decided he couldn't find the time to get this machine to it's former glory.
I'd always thought this machine would be an awesome addition to my current small collection. So when the offer came up I was all over it!
This EDOT is also the very one that was located in Melbourne Australia's Timezone in the mid 80's. (according to the seller)
Who would have thought that the machine I tried to play (was way too short to see the screen) as a child would end up in my home one day
As you're about to see in the pictures, It had much better days and needed allot of work.
At first I was absolutely terrified to even think of what I needed to do as this is my very first restoration. Electronically everything works great. Sqauwk board, Light sequencer etc.
Just the cab was quite bad with water damage to the floor and a few chunked out missing pieces.
So I said to myself "To hell with it and get cracking" and cracking I literally did
Nice crack all the way through the back left side about shoulder height.
The right side has the lower back right completely missing.
There was this awful bit of steel going across the coinbox to prevent theft.
(Can't find that pic) by this stage I started pulling it apart
Floor was quite bad with water damage and will need replacing.
So off with the first part.
Then off with the floor of this section.
