Well actually my second but my first is a 1979 playboy project that is still a project .I just purchased this today Gottleib EM Wild Wild West. I paid $100 and it actually worked. Just 1 flipper acting up. Back glass and playfield in decent shape. Full of dust and had not been used in years. I got it home and found the flipper not working due to a bad leaf switch. This will be my first time shopping out a pin . I will hopefully ordering parts tommorow ehat else should i purchase besides bulb, rubbers and aviously the leaf switch. What should i use to clean all contacts and clean playfield with? thanks in advance

get a good cleaner for cleaning your plastics.....its called NOVUS number 1. it works great. and remember to always order you parts from steve young at the pinball resource.

i would have jumped on that machine for $100....wow

Can't beat that for a hundo! Backglass looks good, the game should clean up nice. Get a manual and some Novus 2. The playfield looks pretty decent as far as I can tell from the pic. Clean it good with Novus and then if there are nasty ball swirl marks you can magic eraser them. Looks like some stains on the side of the cab. Magic eraser probably will take that off. Clean your contacts with a business card/stiff piece of paper. I wouldn't messs with them unless they're giving you trouble.

.What should i use to clean all contacts

Dr. Gonzo speaks the truth. At this stage of the game, there is very little to be gained from systematically cleaning your contacts (other than the strong likelihood of making something inoperable). One thing you could do that would benefit is tightening all the screws on the switch stacks. There is the small chance this could result in the need to adjust a switch, but usually not.

You might consider buying replacement coil sleeves, depending upon the last time yours were touched. If they are original, I would definately do that. You could probably do the whole machine for $5-6 and it has the potential to greatly improve performance.

Consider a supply of fuses if you don't have those yet. Also a leaf adjustment tool. I trust you have a multimeter already? And a good carnuba wax for after you clean the playfield with Novus 2?

Nice deal, enjoy!

It actually came with the original schematics and instruction cards and various original paperwork

Great deall and a great find. I would visually check any of the assemblies for old stubborn grease. Take apart and clean it off, applying just a drop of a 3 in 1 type oil. Also clean the rivoted contacts with scotch brite green pad. This is the first thing I do to any em I have in for repair of personal.

Nice Price!!! Shop it out & put it on high tap & you`ll be surprised how fast that game is. I had one a few years back.
