As some of you have heard, I've been looking for an 80's pin for almost a year now. I narrowed my search down to about 10 machines in this thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=186383. And just last night I came home with a Sorcerer, which was basically #2 on my want list! I got it from a local pinhead who had about 35 pins (and 2 Sorcerers). I spent almost 3 hours playing his pins, talking pinball and arcade games, etc. It was a great night. I set it up this evening and played it for about an hour. I love this game. Here are some quick cell phone pics until I have time to shoot a few with my camera:

Sorry fellas, I'm going to have to skip doing key chain orders tonight! ;)

Looks like patients paid dividends!

Good for you, enjoy it!

I found that once you get one, more come a lot easier, so looking forward to seeing your next addition!

Well... now you did it! I expect a firesale on your vids in the next few months!

And congrats! Love the System 9 trilogy!

Thanks fellas. I had a lot of fun playng it last night. I realized a couple things:

1. Pins are loud. I love it loud. Wifey hates it.
2. Pins are heavy and awkward compared to vids.
3. I suck at pinball. My best score last night was 680,000.
4. I EFFING LOVE THIS MACHINE!

Now I have a noob question- can I get rid of ball swirl marks even if it was just recently waxed? The white area in the Sorcerer's beard by the flippers have a lot of swirl marks...

I remember playing that pin when it was brand new on the showroom floor at the dist. in philly. Nice pin !!! Gotta love the evil eyes...

Keep wifey happy, there is a volume control inside the cabinet

magic eraser and alcohol will remove the swirl marks, just remember to stop scrubbing before the paint comes up

Thanks man for the tip- I found a decent thread on here with a link to a really good article on removing swirl marks.

No way am I turning it down! ;)

Congrats! thats a nice looking pin. You are going to have a lot of fun with it.

I wasnt much of a pinhead but once I got one.. I got hooked.

I love and hate the random nature of them. In a vid, if you're good, you can keep playing and playing. On a pin, sometimes there is no way to stop it from
draining.

You'll be selling off your vids in no time to get more.. Might as well start now:)

Thanks man. I sure would like to find a few more, but I'll never sell off all of my vids. ;)

My other issue is space- until I redo my game room.

Nice score. But, yeah, you're fucked now. I'm already up to 5 pins myself (6 if you count the Jokerz machine that I plan to give to my brother when I'm done fixing it up) and I've probably only been going after them for about 9 months.

Even though I've been playing less and less over the last few weeks, my flipper skills seem to be getting better. Maybe because I'm really focusing on it instead of points. I'm great at post passes, bounce passes and tip passes. Every now and then I get a nice drop catch.

I still can't hit the ramp shot consistently. I just don't want to believe that it's that close to the flipper tip!

Man, pinball is effing fun!

I recently realized that I'm able to more consistently hit the Moe's Tavern ramp shot on TSPP by aiming further into the ramp, rather than at the ramp entrance. So I try to focus on hitting the turn at the back of the ramp instead of the entrance. Maybe try that?

Might help, IDK. The ramp shot is supposed to be hard, I get it. I just want to hit it every time! :)
