I have been looking for a pin with a theme I like and a price I could afford. This one showed up on CL and I was able to buy it for 450.00. I think I got a deal especially since the cabinet and legs have been professionally restored; It was shopped last year and has all new rubbers. Works excellent. No issues I have found; and what a cool sound!

It does have some wear in the playfield and came with a new decal but I need to do some research before I attempt to restore it. Unless I can find a really nice playfield.

Nice,

That cool sound drives me crazy in short time. CPR has a sign-up for a repo PF if you are in need of a replacement http://www.classicplayfields.com/order.html (Some folks say CPR colors are slightly off, don't know myself). I have been on the list now for over a year LOL.

Watch the bottom of the backglass, ink likes to peel/sep form the glass. The plastic socket connectors on the PCBs usually have seen better days.

Enjoy!

You can get an overlay to cover the center if thats were the wear is, maybe clear coat if thats possibly. Never cleared any stickers before, maybe somebody thats done that can offer some pointers.

I did see the CPR site but I'm not into holding my breath if you know what I mean :)

They will be made. I got the SBM plastics and they're very nice.

They're cranking stuff out, considering the grand scale of these projects and how many plastics sets and playfields they've made. I recently got the Playboy playfield and the quality is absurdly nice. The guys doing the work have posted in detail on RGP about how things are constantly improving and there's so much detail involved.

I'm planning on buying the playfield and backglass. My project game has a decent playfield, but no backglass at all. Most of the backglasses I've seen have a lot of peeling, so consider yourself lucky if you got a nice original. The repro should be here within months.

No offense to CPR; I am just used to things in my business (automotive aftermarket) where it has done be done right and right now.

The artwork on SBM is amazing. The sounds get on my nerves, but I do enjoy the game.

Nice pickup for your first pin! That cabinet looks awesome!

My first pin also. A great machine. Many in the collection now but SBM is the first one I turn on every time. I put one of the stickers in the middle of the playfield as mine was worn to the wood. I have done nothing but wax it carefully and it really has not worn. I figure if it was on location it would be gone just the same as the original. Congrats on SBM as it is a great pinballers machine!

How did that work out for you? Can you post some before and after pics? :)

I've seen those, and I've been curious about how hard the install is, and how it looks when it's done.

The middle section on mine is starting to chip out above the round letter inserts.....and it's just going to get worse...

So I'm just looking at possible future options, if it ever gets really bad....so it would be interesting to see how yours turned out.
