Just got my first Mega Touch machine tonight.
Listed for $250 on CL offered $200 and settled in the middle at $225!
The game works great! It's a Mega Touch Maxx Ruby Edition.
Is there good help site for all things Mega Touch?

I did open it when I got home and man is this thing dusty, dirty and dust bunnies in side. I will get the air compressor and clean it out this week end.

Anything special I should know about these?
Should I upgrade it with newer software?

Thanks

They say you always remember your first "mega touch" :D Nice score!

I just got my first and I think I know what you are talking about!!!

The sucker is pretty dirty, when I opened it up, I was attacked by large dust bunnies like this, (pretty sure I jumped)!

Ruby is pretty good. 2K is what I have and I paid twice what you did. Drove an hour to pick it up. Beats the hell out of having it shipped.

Anyone know if there's much difference from Ruby and Ruby 2?
Worth the $70 upgrade price?

Thanks
Steve

You should be able to skip Ruby 2, Sapphire, Sapphire 2, Jade... and go right to a Jade 2 for not a whole lot more. Don't look at those $200 ebay prices for Jade 2, just wait for someone on the forums to sell the key and hard drive for a reasonable price or put in a WTB section.

They will all run on the same boardset.

I'm fairly certain Ruby 2 runs off the same key as Ruby, so you'd just need to replace the hard drive (should be cheap). I'm running Ruby 2 off a CompactFlash in mine.
