My first machine is not working

Get a bottle of denatured and alcohol a toothbrush. Dip the head of the brush in the alcohol and scrub both the connectors on the top and bottom boards. Then, while they are still wet, put the boards firmly back together. Pull them apart and put together again about three our for more times and then try powering the game back up.

If it is dirty contacts, this process should take care of it. From what you have described it seems like the most logical cause.

You could try taking the pcb out of the blue case and put it onto the motherboard to see if you can get a tighter fit. Also, is the key still in the JAMMA harness?

If the key is a little white thing, then yes. I remember seeing it earlier.

Have you tested your power supply? If your not getting the correct voltage, your never gonna get the game to work.

Check all your wiring. I see some wires have electrical tape on them. Maybe some wires held together by the tape have been disconnected. And don't let any exposed wires touch anything metal in the cab.
