Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for the past year or so, and I've always been intensly interested in arcade games for 6 years now; ever since I visisted Videotopia back in 2003.

However, I never had a game I could call me own, until last Saturday!

You can imagine how excited I was when I saw a Frogger cabinet at a garge sale in full working condition for only $20! And yes, I realize the only Frogger thing about it is the board set, because everything else about it seems to be generic, even the cabinet.

I don't mind though, it's my first game and I will be restoring it into better condition over the next month or so with my dad. Hopefully I can find a decent Frogger marquee for it first. "Mighty Game" is not going to cut it!

Here are some pics... If anyone could identify what game the bezel belongs to that would be really appreciated. Also, sorry if the lighting is off... I had to take the pictures in my garage because my parents won't let me bring the game in the house, because they say it's ugly. I think it's just misunderstood!

Welcome to the club, please don't forget to pay your membership dues.. LOL..

What part of Texas you from? ?

I love me some frogger.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

The game does need a lot of work, but I'm definately up for it.
Here's a pic of the marquee. It's definately one of the first things I am going to replace...
I'll probably buy a repro one.

Keep track of how much more you put in! ;) That $20 is the "free crack" they start you off on...

I've got $5 that says he has a second game before the end of the year... If he moves that slow. :D

BTW: That marquee is "ska-licious!"

Hey wait a minute.. There sure seems to be alot of Texans on here. That's who's been getting all my great CL finds...

We should have one of those Arcade parties..

Nice score, and welcome to the hobby! You had better clear an area to put a half dozen arcades, at least...

Welcome to the addiction! Good luck with your restoration - most everyone on here is extremely helpful, so don't hesitate to ask any questions. You really should start buttering up your parents for a second cab now, that way when you do get it (and you will, probably sooner than you think!) they won't be too suprized! :D

$20 for your first cab in working condition? That's awesome.

Yeah, I'd love to get another cab, just realizing that I own my own arcade game is really cool!
$20 was a great deal on my part. Though most of the cabinet in pretty rough, mainly the control panel, the monitor is really nice with no burn at all. I think it will fix up nicely.
