New here. I enjoy hearing about other folks' finds, so here are my first find stories:

Tempest: $100 (free)
There was a Tempest advertised in my neighborhood (craigslist) for $500, so I dashed over to check it out. It was an estate sale with quite an eclectic mix of junk; lots of Harley stuff and lots of porn that the family had gone to the trouble of individually pricing! Awkward! Anyway, the brother showed me the Tempest and fiddled with it for quite a while trying to power it on. It didn't power on, so I asked how low he would go. He said $100, so I whipped out the bills right there. They also threw in a bunch of boxed Atari 2600 and Coleco games which I flipped for $200, so I came out ahead on that deal. Oh yeah, the Tempest just needed a new fuse. The T-molding is a little chewed up, but the artwork is great. It did need extra board work later, but that is another story.

Galaga cabaret / Millipede cocktail $500
I saw a Millipede cocktail for $350 on craigslist. I've been wanting a Centipede cocktail for quite a while so I jumped on this. I got there and Galaga (cabaret) was also for sale. The guy accepted $500 for both, so off they went in the minivan. This was maybe not such a smoking deal, but my wife really likes Centipede/Millipede. That's worth a little something extra, right?

I was planning to multipede it. Does anyone play Centipede when they have access to Millipede?

Welcome and welcome!

Those are really great deals. Free Tempest, a cabaret and cocktail! Nice!

nice finds. I never see those prices around here. Everyone in this area thinks every cab is worth thousands.
