Wow! I just got my first BIG kiss from a 20EZ and boy did it hurt. My arm burns and my breathing is a little shallow....but I think I will make it. You know how you always say that your very careful and it will never happen to you? Guess what, I said that 5 minutes before I was knocked on my ass. OK, do I get some sort of dumb ass pin or badge? Do I now have to learn some secret handshake? I'm in the club and paid my dues...... ;)

Good to see you survived;) That's one club I hope I don't join for a while. I'm usually extra careful mucking around tronics, but sometimes you do forget.

I don't want to ever join this club, buuuut...

Much like trackdays, I knew eventually I would crash. And I did. Twice.

Glad you made it. Enjoy a beer. And have someone see if they can pick up a radio station on you by twisting your nipples, or something.

Not me; thanks for posting this. That looks like something I would think would be okay to touch!

Yeah, really. What exactly is that and why would it have a charge? Can someone school a monitor newb like myself on this? This is why I don't mess with monitors yet. I have a LOT to learn and it seems even the experienced guys get whacked once in a while.

Glad you're ok, man.

The flyback powers the HOT right? Does that mean if you touch the HOT, you get the full load of the Flyback?

Even I know not to touch anywhere on the backside of the monitor while it's on/running!

You crazy, man!

Glad you're ok, but dayum.

The case of the HOT will be electrically live while the monitor is running. It's not on the output side of the flyback, but it's still not something you want to go touching while the monitor is on...

In short - don't touch that :D

I think he knows that now. :)
