LOVE this cabinet.

One of the cooler mini's out there (IMO). OutRun is awesome, and the keeper is back, Fritz. I missed out on a local one of these about a month ago, and was bummed so I decided I needed to find another. This one was a great deal, but I had to ship it so it was a wash on it being "cheap". Who cares though? DarrenF's free play/high score save kit is installed already (one of the big reasons I sold my last one a few years ago was no HSS), and I couldn't be happier. My boys are going to love this game, and its going to be perfect next to my Super Hang On. My office just got a little cooler, too (since it got shipped there, ha).

Props to PrairieDillo, and Mylstar for hooking up the Free Play kit, and some parts.

Sweet!

Looks sweet. A keeper for sure. No force feedback though. Can you hack that in from an UR?

Its got springs that work well as far as the steering goes. Its tight.

Im telling ya, the High Score save/Free Play kit that was made makes the game better than it already is. So awesome.

I've never seen an Outrun mini before. I regret not going for an Afterburner mini I saw at an auction a couple of years ago.

I guess Sega cabbies are teh sweet.

Congrats.

I didn't know the cabarets lacked this.

But yeah, sweet little machine. Welcome to the Cabaret Club!

FF is a little over rated actually. IMHO OR is a game that's really for the kids even though adults like it. The shaker is way to violent for kids and my UR is too tall for kids. That makes this mini ideal for kids.

The fun thing is that my kids like to drive w/ me and I do the gas. It's a neat bonding experience. Moving sit down with no FF on the wheel would be awesome.

I'm happy to contribute to this! The two guys that did the HS mod should get all the credit. I just put together 10 kits (w/ the super cap) just to provide a service and offset the effort to buy chips and have them burned. (it made my kit free)

They do have a solenoid that punches the end of the steering wheel shaft, but yeah it would be nice if they had a similar shaker motor like the upright.

I dont really miss the shaker on the mini. My last UR, I disconnected the shaker because I had heard they kill the B gears.

Congrats. I love my mini as well, and the free play/high score kit just makes it that much better.

Wow Jow! That looks freakin' cool. So small and so cute...yet badass at the same time.

Nice job.
