Pics are from the CL ad. Looks like it has been taken down. Wonder if any other locals saw this one? :)

This is the text:

"This cabinet makes noises and you can hear it shooting. But all you see is a black screen. I have no idea what it needs. But it looked great in my game room and we wanted to find someone to repair it. Just ran out of time as we are moving in less than 2 weeks.
XXX-XXXX and come pick it up anytime."

Do you have it in your grubby mitts yet???

On my truck now but getting ready to unload it. :)

I am amazed at it so far. Looked around inside and seems complete so the description may be true. Really not in bad shape cosmetically.

I was hoping for a "who got this" post when I got back - locals letting me down. :)

I saw it under 20 minutes after it was posted and called and apparently no one else had contacted them. Kept thinking I was going to get there and it would be gone - everything I was doing to get out to pick it up seemed to take much more time than usual - get the dolly, gas up, etc. It was a fun run - a little exciting that I got it first.

Another buddy called me 30 minutes after it was posted to ask me about it, and I told him to call and get it. That's what he gets for calling me before the ad.

Glad someone I know got it. But you were just complaining to me about not having room for anything, so I'll expect you to drive it down here soon....

And how sweet of a deal did you get?

At the price it was offered, no question - get it. :)

I know. Space is becoming an issue. I just couldn't pass this one up. I am working on a solution to the space issue. Guess I could bring it down with the other ones. ;)

If I reveal that the "Price Police" will take notes in their black book and it will come back to haunt me but I guess "F tha Price Police!" - I got it for half a Benjamin - just what they asked in the ad. :)

This one won't be for sale anyway. I never get rid of anything - hence the space issues.

Actually, I have done some trades.

Color vector, SWEET!!!!

most likely you have the WG6100 in there. Here is a cool mod you can do to that monitor.

http://www.geocities.com/jeffhendrix67/lv2000/

make it a little more reliable

Thanks. I was looking and found the WG sticker in the bottom of the machine - about 1/4 of it was sticking out of a crack in the bottom - it was almost gone for good. The tag shows Wells-Gardner 19k6... - and the rest has been lost on the little piece of paper that tore out from that spot. Must be a 6100. I was going to put up a post asking about the monitor mods.

Don't see a serial # outside on the cabinet but the PCB, Reg/Aud II, coin meter, and monitor (stuck on the cage) show SER: 08524.

And the "noise" it makes is (drum roll, please) the infamous coin mechs clicking with the P1/P2 buttons on solid. Power LED lit on PCB.

Nothing surprising about that. I think the monitor is not getting power - I couldn't see/hear anything so another nothing suprising.

It is a pretty cabinet. :)

The pcb is either dead or in test mode. Press the buttons and see if you get any test sounds. Or flip the test switch on the coin door and see if it makes it to test mode.

Sweet deal but you do almost get scared to post what you paid for something anymore in case you ever need to sell it.

Hope to get back to checking the machine out soon. It is too hot where I have the machine stored currently. Should be a 'fun' project. :)

I saw the CL post but didn't think I needed a 6th Space Duel right now.
I will fix it for you if you want.

Appreciate that but think I will give the fix a go. I still need to drop by to pickup that Choplifter CPO if it is still available. :)

It would also be good to meet another local.

EDIT: May have some questions for you on the SD, though, once I crack it open.
